"We'd need to break the case," Alasea said, dancing backwards as Memphre turned and released another spray of water at her, causing only her boots to be soaked by the pressurized stream. Concentrating and muttering a spell under her breath, Alasea looked down at her weapon and Enchanted it with lightning. The weapon began glowing bright gold, infused with the element of Lightning for the next five minutes.
Quickly, she repeated the spell, aiming it at Ryo's weapon and causing it to also glow gold in color, with the same elemental infusion and time limit for it.

Ryo coughed a few times and stood up ignoring the pain in his side. "Shouldn't be hard to break a glass case should it?" He then pulled back for a second before tossing his sword like a boomerang at the case. Expecting yet another attack from Memphre while unarmed he prepared to dodge.

The weapon flew true and smashed against the glass casing on the ceiling encasing the Water Key, but it only shook slightly as the golden weapon bounced off of it--apparently, the glass was not going to shatter. The weapon clattered to the floor close to the edge of the catwalk, but not near Ryo.
Roaring, the Memphre attacked, shooting its head forward at Alasea with mouth wide open. Gritting her teeth, she swung at its face with the Megami Tsurugi, laying open its snout and causing it to rear back with a snarl as lightning burst from the weapon and shocked it. Taking aim, the girl fired a single flame ray at the beast, but the concentrated beam of fire did little as it scored the monster across the side of its head.

"It can never be easy can it?" After his complaining Ryo looked over at his sword and groaned as he started running toward it. With his luck it'd fall into the pool of water but he still hoped that he would make it.

"Watch out!" Alasea shouted, as the Memphre quickly turned in the water, lunging its mouth out at Ryo to bite at him.

Skidding to a halt as he snatched his sword up Ryo turned to face Memphre. "Sorry but I'm not on the menu!" Ignoring the horrible joke he had made Ryo launched himself into the air. Barely avoiding the beast's mouth he twisted around a bit and started dropping down towards the beast with his sword in an attempt to force it through the creature's skull.

Sensing Ryo coming down from above, the Memphre moved its head out of the way again, rearing backwards and lifting its body up in the water. Snarling, the beast unleashed another pressurized blast of water--this time a single shot instead of a stream--at Ryo.
Just as the blast left its mouth, Alasea darted forward to the edge and jumped, sailing over the water, until she landed on the creature's slippery back. She nearly lost her footing, but quickly balanced herself out and slashed at the creature's back. Lightning blasted over its skin, and the beast screeched in anger and pain, whirling around and sending water over the edges of the catwalk just moments after Alasea leaped backwards to the safety of the catwalk.

Watching the beast pull back and release the glob of water Ryo grinned and cleaved through it with his lightning enchanted blade. He of course got a bit wet but even wetter once the beast started splashing water everywhere. Despite this he landed somewhat safely nearly slipping as he landed. Rather than attempt another close range attack Ryo pulled back again and launched his sword at the creature. Once the sword left his hand he leapt at the creature yet again trying to slam it with a punch.

The blade of the thrown weapon sliced against the side of the Memphre's neck, and it snarled in pain once more as electricity shocked it. The sword came through the air, and Alasea deftly caught it by the hilt as it went past. The weight of the heavy sword caused her to stagger back a bit, but she kept her balance and continued her assault.
Aiming her sword at the beast's chest, Alasea channeled pure energy into its tip, forming a growing, bright sphere of energy. It reached its maximum size and collapsed, and the Aura Strafe blasted forward with piercing white beam of energy, scoring a nasty burn on the creature's chest. The Memphre bellowed in agony, and glared at the girl. Its body quickly sank into the water, retreating.
As its black body disappeared into the depths below, the grating slid over the hole and locked into place. Simultaneously, the doors unlocked, the bars sliding up and disappearing into the walls. And up above on the ceiling, the glass case shimmered, then disappeared. The glowing Water Key fell like a rock, dropping into the water with a splash and sinking to the bottom, coming rest on the grating.
Alasea fell down onto her rear, breathing heavily and wiping a bit of sweat from her brow. She lowered Ryo's sword down next to her. "Well, that was fun," she said, grinning slightly.

"Yeah it was quite the fight wasn't it? Hold that thought for a second." There was a loud splash as Ryo leapt into the pool after the key and a silence that followed until he came shooting out of the water gasping for air with the key in his hand."Well...much deeper than I thought."

"Great!" Alasea said, standing up and walking to the edge. She held her hand to him, to help him out of the water. "Send a PM to Rua to let him know we found one."

As Ryo was pulled from the water he opened a small window to send a message. The message itself read "Hey we found one of those keys you had showed us. We also fought some kind of giant serpent looking thing." Once he had sent the message he shook the water off himself and glanced over at his weapon. "So you managed to catch it eh?"

"Barely," she said, walking over to it and hefting up the large sword with a bit of effort. She handed it to him while she took the Water Key from him. "I'm surprised they make weapons this heavy."
She turned to the door and motioned him to follow. "Let's hurry up before anything else comes after us."
===
Rua quickly read through the message that Ryo sent him, then closed it, smiling with satisfaction. One more key left to find, and then with a little luck, they'll be able to find the way to their goal.
"But first," he mused aloud, looking across the room. "To cross this nightmare of a place."
The room was dark and chilly, with rapidly-moving waterways intersecting between various upraised square platforms in the room. Some of the platforms were wider than others, but those same wider platforms usually held a couple of Murlocs resting on them. This was going to get nasty. Traversing the waterways was just asking for trouble, the current was more than enough to push his Dragon King Armor around and hamper his movements... if only he could risk using a Nova Reactor here.
No time for that, though, he thought, bringing up his Phase Blades and combining them into the Phase Scythe. He swung the massive sword up around onto his shoulder, then ran and jumped to the first platform.

Ryo gave a slight shrug as he hefted the sword over his shoulder and made his way out of the room. "Unless those other guys catch up I doubt anything more fearsome than that snake will show up."

"We don't know that," Alasea said. "What we're after is something no one should know about, so who knows what the Staff has set guarding it?"
Alasea opened the door and found themselves in a narrow, circular tunnel that curved downwards. The girl made her way down it at a steady pace, keeping an eye on the path ahead while her sword was drawn. She couldn't see anything ahead, though that didn't mean much in the world of Ymaggion. Water creatures, traditionally, were keen with magic and invisibility wouldn't be too infeasible.
There was a metallic sound back up top by the door, and she nearly swore for her stupidity. Soon, water was rushing down the curving tube of a tunnel, smashing into their feet and knocking them onto their backs, where the rushing waters carried them down with a scream that reverberated through the chamber.
The two of them and all of the water were jettisoned out the end of the tunnel, where they landed hard on their rears as water sloshed out all around them, slipping to grates on the floor and draining into the pool below. A grated gate slid down over the door as Alasea sat up with a groan.
"Ooooh... I hate this place," she muttered, wincing at a bruise.
===
The Phase Scythe slashed out, cleaving another unfortunate Murlock in half, spraying dark blood all over the platform and into the rushing waters. The two halves hit the metal platform with a wet squelching noise, and Rua stepped forward and attacked once more, burying the sword into the frog-like head of another Murloc as it bounded in to attack while he had been distracted by the other Murloc he had just killed.
His breathing was becoming labored, and Rua maneuvered his gigantic blade to his side, examining the room once more. Two more platforms to cross and he'd be across the room and progressing to the next chamber in this foul temple. A Murloc flung a spear at him, and he dodged to the side, running and jumping over to the next platform, which was thankfully empty. His foot slipped on the wet metal platform and his feet went wide, which was lucky for him, as another thrown spear zipped through the air his head had been occupying less than a second before. Standing back up, he ran and jumped, drawing his sword up overhead with a loud cry.
