Once in the Room, Adam looked about and went to a desk, discussing with the attendant there about where he was to go. After getting the card notifying him as a witness and was given directions, he made his way to the courtroom. Once outside of the large doors, he told an Angel who he was and why he was here. The guard nodded and entered the courtroom, walking up to Phoenix and leaning down to whisper that the witness had arrived.

Phoenix smiled, altopugh a bit nervous...everything decided on this witness.
"And, I just got word that he has arrived." Phoenix said aloud to the court, then focusing his gaze at Edgeworth.
"Are you feeling the heat yet?"

Kite didn't look too happy; he was putting his trust in someone he barely knew.

When Phoenix shouted his OBJECTION -- completely out of order even -- Edgeworth merely shrugged at his statement and, after a slight nod at the judge, returned to his bench. Not soon afterwards, he saw the doors of the court room opening and Adam coming in. He didn't care, it was a witness, and though he might be a key figure in the case for Phoenix, Edgeworth simply wanted to get it over with, preferably resulting in a victory for him, and even more preferably a victory for him with justice on his side.

"Witness, do you swear to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth?" The judge asked adam.

"Sure, if it'll get me out of here sooner," Adam muttered to the judge, looking about the room. His red eyes spotted a downcast Kite McKnights, and he scowled. Wonderful, he thought, I get to spend time in his trial?

Kite looked up,"Look, sooner you get me out of here, the sooner you're out of here..."
"ALright witness, begin your testimony whenever..." The judgeg said shaking his head.

"Well then..." Phoenix began, breaking the conversation between the two.
"Witness, please describe what you saw the night of the incident....I'm assuming the staff brought you up to details."

"No," Adam muttered, looking off to the side, "No, they didn't. But since McKnights is here, I think I know what the hell you're talking about."
The uniformed boy sighed and sat back in the chair in the witness stand.
"I was coming back from a parlor where my last client was at. I had just got paid for the job, and I was on my way back to the monorail. It was getting dark, so it's normally pretty hard to see," he recalled, explaining to the people in the courtroom, "And I heard a scuffle off in an alleyway and went to check it out. I saw one kid fighting with another older guy with a big sword."
Adam glanced over at Kite, next to Phoenix, and shook his head. "The person the kid was fighting looked exactly like McKnights over there," he continued, motioning to Kite, "But he didn't have the two gunblades he usually has."

"WHAT?!" Phoenix felt his heart drop...he needed to think of a diversion.
"Are you sure it was Mcknights? And...." The lawyer thought for a moment. "That he only had one blade?"

"Yeah," Adam said, nodding, "He had only one sword, and it wasn't a gunblade."
He drummed his fingers on the countertop of the witness' stand. "Anyways, the kid didn't last long. Hell, he never stood a chance from what I could see. Went down in two thrusts, and the last one went deep. After he went down, his attacker went and used a blowtorch on one of the wounds, and some liquid nitro on the other. Why, I don't know."
Adam paused for a little bit, recollecting on that night. He was glad he had nearly perfect memory.
"Anyways, 'Kite' took the kid's gunblade and ran off after that, but I decided to go after him. I had my gear on me at the time, so I started shooting at him with the beam rifle," he went on, leaning back on the seat, "None of the shots hit flesh; he was pretty quick. But, one of the shots struck some device on his hip and blew it up. After that, he changed."

"Pardon me for interrupting," Edgeworth then spoke up, looking sternly at Adam with a frown on his face, "but what did you mean by that the person you were chasing changed?"

"Exactly that," Adam said, "He changed into someone else. The Staff have been working on a device that changes the user's appearance and voice into that of someone else. The device I wound up shooting was one of those. By destroying it, he lost McKnight's appearance and reverted back to his true form."

"Could you, perhaps, tell us what his true form looked like?" Edgeworth asked with a raised brow. They got shapeshifting devices now, too?

"He was a big, muscle-bound idiot kind of guy, dressed in a lot of black leather, had a lot of zippers," he said, thinking back, "More than what was necessary. Had long black hair that was slicked back. And two scars on his face, big ones that crossed over each other. He didn't look too happy to have been seen."
