Alasea frowned and fished into her inventory, looking for a specific item Rua had left with her last night. She soon found it, and pulled out a glowing azure and gray cube. "I have this," she said, "so you'd only have to carry two of us."
Rua heard the growl loud and clear, thanks to the filtering on the Dragon King Armor's helmet. Instinctively the hand holding the Phase Scythe tightened its grip, causing him to look around. Was it really that close? The growl was unlike anything he had ever heard before. Was the fabled monster stalking him already? Or was it just trying to fuck with their minds by using echoes?
Grunting, Rua stepped up his pace, looking for possible mountain paths and the like. If he found the path, he'd destroy it... no need to let any undesirables attack their blind side.

Kite was silent during the whole conversation for one reason; He sensed the beast already. Instinctively he pulled out both of his gunblades and started to draw Mana to them,"The darkness energy in this area is overwhelming everything, even my Comm unit is down, 'it's'' close by..."
Kite reached into his backpack and pulled out a small locket, I don't dare use this...Do I?

OOC: Hate to be a rule freak, but there's a reason for it...
Another horrible growl shook through the valley, this time it shook the ground itself. "We're leaving now," he said suddenly. They had spent too much time in one spot, Rua needed to be closing that pass and they needed to start moving. "My apologies, Kite," the Master Chief said shortly as he picked up the younger administrator. "Alasea stay right behind us," he said after checking the motorcycle was opened up. "This shouldn't need to take long." As the engine roared the Master Chief bolted. The ground was shuddering more frequently now, he hoped Rua would be fine.
With Kite over his shoulder he legs moved faster and faster until he reached a speed of around sixty miles per hour. Not bothering to look behind, he kept an eye on his radar to make sure she was still there. After a solid minute the shape of a snow covered tower could be seen, with windows strangely at ground level. He skidded to a halt near the window and motioned for his companions to make their way through.

Something was chasing him, that's for sure. Rua jumped repeatedly as he crossed the snowy drifts, using his boot armor's thrusters for propulsion. The scanner was trying to get a lock on it, but aside from its general direction behind him, the interface was struggling to glean any other information off of it.
He could see his destination in the distance, though, barely discernible through the mists. Two large mountains rose up in his vision; it seemed that the target was a mountain pass. All he'd need to do is ready a Dragon Blaze and--
His train of thought came to a crashing halt as something hard, something massive collided with his back, slamming him hard into the ground. He let out a strangled cry as the wind was knocked out of him, and his head swam slightly. Looks like his predator had caught up with him.
Meanwhile, Alasea looked around nervously, pressing one side of the cube and letting it expand into Rua's personal Thunder King cycle, the one that the Isle had given to him shortly before he reunited with her after his return from the Eternal Sanctuary. She made a stressed giggle as she saw Master Chief grab Kite and lift him up, but quickly stifled it and got onto the bike, gunning the engine and shooting forward. Alasea released a startled yelp and held on, realizing that when driving this, Rua made this look a lot easier than it had been. Soon, however, they arrived at the tower, and Alasea skid to a halt in front of it.
"This is it?" she asked.

OOC: In reality, the thing is just basically a Monster Energy Drink in a necklace container. Nothing really big about it, just gets Kite ready.
Kite looked at the chief, "Nice try, but I wouldn't do that,"
Kite hit a button that unveiled an invisible Bat-mobile,"He gave me one of his spares, ask me next time before you grab me."

The Master Chief dropped Kite simply and Alasea's question while examing the window, "This is the place, I have a feeling though its a bit bigger than it seems." With a powerful kick he shattered some of the stone toward the top of the window making it the perfect size for a body to fit through. "Ladies first," he said gruffly, then pulling out his shotgun once more said, "you too Kite, I'll hold up our six."

Kite walked through,"So why the hell are we here again?"

Pressing a button on the side of the vehicle as she stepped off, Alasea returned the Thunder King back to its original state and depositing it back in her inventory. She quickly followed Kite through into the building, saying "To avoid the monster, Kite. Remember?"
Elsewhere, Rua grunted as he threw off the giant weight, snatching his Phase Scythe up and springing back to his feet. Pivoting around, Rua brought his sword up into a ready stance at his side, and stared at his opponent.
What the? An Imperfect!? With a start, Rua realized just what kind of monster he was facing. It was an amalgam of different creatures; he could recognize the torso of a Nemean Lion and the head of an Enicorn, and the wings of Kryll on arms of a beast he couldn't recognize. The glowing red core was implanted on the back of the, glowing fitfully.
"Fuck," was all he said, leaping upwards as the Nightmare amalgam growled and attacked.

The Master Chief gave the direction in which Rua was one last glance then slipped into whole in the wall. Looking down he found they were on a set of rafters thirty or so feet above the floor of the tower. At the base was a door half ajar that looked like it led to a corridor. Was there a whole castle under this snow? Pushing that thought aside he leapt down from his position, his gel layer easily handling the drop and his shields on his feet softening the impact and slight rumble his half ton body made.
Shotgun raised he peered down the corridor. It was long and barren, yet with torches lit on their brackets. "It's clear," he said, his voice echoing up to his allies.

Pushing off of the rock wall, Rua backflipped over the beast as it made its fourth attempt at attacking, and the Imperfect collided with it, making a dull thudding noise. Swinging the the Phase Scythe around, Rua slashed at its backside, aiming for the glowing heart-stone of the Nightmare. The beast moved, however, and the blade bit into the black hide of its body, shredding one arm. Roaring, the beast spun around and backhanded him hard, and his grip on his sword loosened.
The Phase Scythe skittered across the cold ground, out of the pass, as Rua bounced off of the stone wall of the mountain pass. Growling, Rua looked up as the beast charged him, and he activated Godhand on both hands, covering his forearms with bluish-white energy. The two grappled with each other in a contest of strength, the Imperfect holding on easily despite the pain of the burning flames of Godhand. Rua pushed forward, struggling against his opponent, and shoved the Nightmare away, causing it to stumble backwards. Taking the chance, Rua activated the matter converter and let it grab at the material around him.
In the tower, Alasea grudgingly removed the cloak and placed it in her inventory, stepping to the edge of the rafters. "What is this place?" she asked quietly as she looked down into the deep shaft. She wondered if there was a ladder somewhere to get down, otherwise she'd have to jump on top of someone, which she was sure they wouldn't appreciate.

"I'd say its something like a guard tower, maybe a small outpost complex. The structure seems well built though, I'd say it would be safe to continue through the corridor once Mr. Dragonheart is back with us," Cortana said pensively. They both knew something had sprung up, it was not far enough away to take this long, especially with Rua being faster than the normal person. Having an upset Alasea on his hands was the last thing he wanted so both refrained from comments of the length of his absence.

Chunks of earth were ripped away as the matter converter took the material and reformed it into specialized energy cannons on Rua's shoulders, hips, and torso as he sped away from the Imperfect, heading towards his weapon and the end of the passage. As he crossed the threshold, he moved back farther and spun around. Targeting specific points in the pass, Rua swung the weapons over as he activated his arm cannons, and aiming each weapon together, fired at once.
Alasea's head shot up as she heard the distant thunder of cannonfire, followed by the rumbling crash of exploding stone and earth, like an avalanche. "Was that... R.D.?" she asked quietly, worrying.

"Okay, this is becoming bullshit. I'm going after him," Kite said as he walked towards the door and opened the door to the Bat-mobile.

The Master Chief spun around and quickly leapt back up the rafters placing himself between the window and Kite. "Kite, that explosion was followed by collapsing of something huge. Either Rua did his job of collapsing the pass, or he's killed a massive enemy. Either way he can handle himself well enough. Leaving now would only risk getting lost out there and making us regroup," Cortana said forcefully. "There's no point in making assumptions. If Rua isn't back in five minutes, we'll send him a PM. If he fails to reply, then wetake action. Got it?"

Alasea sighed at the turn of events; Kite's stubbornness showing itself once more. She marched outside and grabbed hold of the back of his shirt, and dragged him back inside. "It's bad enough that he went out there to close off the pass, we don't need you doing stupid things too."
When she finally got the Administrator inside once more, she closed the door to the tower securely. "Now we just have to wait," said the girl with a frown.
