Adam rolled his eyes. "How appealing," he muttered sarcastically, "Spending more time with you."

"No-one asked you to come." Areni merely stated without looking into Adam's direction. "To get far away from me ASAP, you could just commit seppuku and be done with it."

"No way," Adam said, "You'd enjoy that too much."
Adam looked about as they passed by NPCs and Angels. "Think we should ask someone to see if your father's in?"

Areni smirked a tiny bit. I might indeed enjoy that. She thought.
"We could ask his secretary." She said. "One of them is pretty much always around."

"Alright," replied Adam, "Lead the way."

"Right this way." Aremi said, gesturing Adam to follow her as she rounded a corner and started to walk down a hallway. Many doors could be seen standing open, Angels sitting inside, apparantly doing paperwork of some kind. At the end of the hallway was a large, sturdy looking door that was a light ivory colour, and fairly simple, yet elegantly decorated. On it was a plate with golden letters saying GAHM OFFICE.

Adam looked around a bit, but didn't seem to be impressed. He followed Areni to the marked door.

Areni walked over to the door at the end of the hall with the golden letters on it and put her hand on the doorknob. "You know..." She said, "You shouldn't even be here. It's really none of your business, and most players aren't even allowed into the higher levels of the tower." She looked at him from the corners of her eyes. "You might as well just go away now."

"Worried about me?" Adam said, giving Areni a sidelong glance. "I'm touched. I have some things to tell Gahm myself, so I would've come here anyway."

"You could just tell those things to me, or one of the Angels, then we'd tell him." Areni stated simply. "He's a busy man, my father, so don't bother him with trivial things."

"I don't plan to," Adam said, "Just open the damn door."

Areni was silent for a moment, didn't blink, move, nor speak. After a short amount of time, her hand twisted the doorknob, and she opened the door, and walked into a small room with large windows to the left, a few doors to the right, and on the opposite side of it, a closet filled with books and a desk with a woman sitting behind it, her brown hair tied into a knot on the back of her head, some strings of hair falling over her eyes. She wore glasses with black rims, a pink shirt above a dark blue skirt, and a dark blue blazer hung over the chair she sat in. Apparantly, she was busy with some paperwork, and didn't look up when the door opened.

Adam decided to keep silent upon entering the room, figuring it'd be better for Areni to talk for now. He'd step in if she started bitching about him.

It wasn't until Areni and Adam stood in the middle of the room that the woman looked up. "Oh, ohiyo there." She said plainly, seeming a bit dazed, as if she had been sleeping not too long ago and hadn't waken up yet fully. "Can I help you with something?" She asked.
"We are here to see my father." Areni said.
This was met with a glazy stare from the woman.
Areni sighed. "We are here to meet Gahm." She said.
"Oh." The woman said blandly. "Well, that's too bad, I don't think he's here. He hasn't come out of his office since quite a while, so..."

Adam sighed. Please don't tell me I'm stuck with her longer, he thought irritably.
