Areni returned within a relatively short amount of time after having left Adam behind. She looked around, smirked, then walked through a short hall, and entered a different elevator than the one she had seen Adam. She entered the number 6 two times and the number 8 once, the door closed, and then the lift took off, building up speed until it went around 600 mph, after which it quite immediately started to slow down again, stopped with a ping sound coming through the speakers near the top of the elevator, signaling arrival at the requested floor, stepped out, and sat down on a bench to wait for Adam, meanwhile thinking of what she would say to him once he arrived.

"It's about time," Adam spoke up as Areni sat down, he himself leaning on a wall, "Six-hundred or so floors isn't much of a problem when you can fly."

"Too bad you didn't smear yourself on the walls on your way up," Areni replied, "though that would make a bit of a mess, but I think the cleaners would've dealt with that quickly."

"I told you before," Adam said shortly, glaring at the girl, "I know what I'm doing when I'm flying."

"Uh, no you don't." Areni replied with. "You are just extremely lucky, which is probably the reason as to why you haven't died three times over as of yet."

"No," Adam corrected, "I didn't die because dying would've made you estatic."

"Not even close, Sherlock." Areni said. "I probably would have died out of the immense joy overwhelming me, depending on whether or not it was before or after you had taken me on a suicide trip at Mach something-something through those mines."

Adam burst out laughing. "But if that's the case, you'd have wound up in the same place I would have!" he exclaimed, trying to recover from his sudden outburst.

"Maybe, but the demons down there are far more bent on torturing a normal bastard for whom nobody cares a rat's ass, instead of someone who is not only trying to save their asses from a bunch of wannabe gods, but is also closely related to the person who could erase their existence with one push on a button." Areni replied with, keeping her calm.

"Actually, not really," Adam said soberly, "They're all controlled by Shade, who doesn't give a rat's ass about you, me, your father, or... well, anyone, really."
Adam looked about the area, wondering where they were supposed to go now. "Let's just go, alright? The sooner we do, the sooner I can get the hell away from you."

"Shade's a retard." Areni said plainly as she stood up. "Plus, this place is pretty much a last resort for him as a job." She added. "But very well, I guess I can help you a bit with getting the hell out of here ASAP." She said, walked down the corridor.

Adam remained silent as he followed Areni, yet several choice expletives ran through his mind as they walked. As the two of them continued down the hall, they passed a young woman with strange, cyan-colored hair and violet eyes, decked out in yellow and white clothing and gold chainmail. Adam raised an eyebrow as she passed, as the girl's eyes followed Areni when she walked by the Daughter of Light.

Areni gave a slight nod upon seeing the girl as a form of a silent greeting. She didn't slow down her pace, now, she wanted to get things done as soon as they possibly could be.

"So," Adam started, breaking the silence, "If Gahm unfortunately isn't here, where would we look to find him?"

"If he isn't here," Areni replied, "then we'll have a hard time finding him. When he is online, then he usually is somewhere in or around the Tower. So we'd probably have to wait a little if he isn't here."
