[/size][/u][/b]Ladies, gentlemen...and Morph. Quite some time ago I PMed several of you to discuss the creation of a new RPG forum under the name of "Land of the Titans". This was to be the third installment of the series of RPs we've made. Well, I'm here again to discuss this with those of you who are regulars on IO and/or Epsilon.
Plot: Sometime after the events of Project Epsilon a new up-and-coming game industry called Envision Entertainment had a breakthrough in gaming technology. By placing millions of nanobots on ones body using a spraying device they were able to more or less make people into game characters that had been constructed on one of their character creation computers. Using the nanobots they could give anyone an entirely different appearance, fantastic abilities, even change the sound of their voice. However, the bots could only work when close to the transmitter that broadcasted the character information to them. Once the nanobots and transmitters were perfected, Envision Entertainment purchased an island out in the Pacific Ocean, and set up dozens of transmitters all over the island, made shops, villages, etc.
The group in charge of the project did research on the players and characters of the Beta Project and Project Epsilon, and sent out personal invitations to the creators/players of Rua Dragonheart, Blazen Messiah, DragonFire, Morph Glitzar, Kalmar Uverth, Alasea Dagenais, Lee Steffanos, Kite Mcknights, Kouken, Akumu, Mars Gradivus, and MegaMan Juno. It wasn’t until after the invitations were sent out that the game company made a worldwide announcement to inform the public of their latest project, which they named “Land of the Titans.” The game would be much like the famous MMORPG, Ymaggion, only in this game you wouldn’t simply be controlling your character with virtual reality gear, but instead you would be your character. Like Ymaggion there would be monsters of many types, NPCs, friendly and villainous, and possibly some familiar faces for Ymaggion veterans.

After looking over the many PMs Morph and I wrote to each other discussing this matter I have made some decisions.
1. Each player will where a gauntlet that contains the nanobots until they are needed. By using a call such as: "Battle Gauntlet, activate! Rua Dragonheart!" the player will be transformed into his/her character.
2. The timeskip will be anywhere from 5-6 years after the Mirror-Me Saga.
3. An example of the max power any character can have is Kuro at 2%.
4. The island is like what they had in the first season of Digimon, with a desert, a glacial area, some mountains, a forest and a town here 'n' there, and maybe a fire area.
Things that are undecided:[/b]
1. I'm no longer sure about who the invites should go to. Morph had suggested that they go to the "next generation" of players. Here's a quote from that PM:
Also, BD and RD have said that they personally think that perhaps instead of the Beta testers, they could have others test it, the "new generation" so to speak, of the players of the Ymaggion era instead of the Beta era, such as Scept, Fitz and Adam. Furthermore, that could mean that some of the older players, such as the Beta testers, could be part of the team that developed the whole thing. Hailin or whatever Juno's real name was supposed to be again could have become a nanobot expert, or Blazen could have turned out to be be a geneticist and have researched the effects of the nanobots on people and things like that. That was why I thought that a 3 year skip was a bit short, though 10 years may perhaps be certainly too much. 4 maybe.
Tell me your thoughts on this matter.
2. I'm toying with the idea of having some of the old players (mainly Beta testers) being involved with either the creation of the game or being sort of like SPCs (Supervising Player Characters). They'd be sort of like Gahm and the staff here. (Yes, this insperation came from Morphy)
3. The following template is not final, and suggestions on a better template are more than welcomed.
Player: Len Yoshi
Age: 17
Nationality: Half Asian half American
Appearance:
Game History: Beta Tester
Weapons & Items: A small MP3 player, and earphones.
Background: Len Yoshi was born and raised in Tennessee, USA. His mother, Jill Mandolin, was an American super model, and his father, Yang Yoshi, was a Chinese world-class martial artist. Though his family was quite wealthy, Len never received any kind of special treatment. His father had grown up in a small village in China, and had always been taught that everyone had to carry their own weight, and he taught Len likewise.
At the age of 5 Yang started to teach him Kung Fu, all the while Jill was trying to steer him in the direction of becoming a model, as she could plainly see he had the looks for it even at such a young age.
Several years down the road, Len learned of a video game series called MegaMan. He bought several of the games from the Classic series, and when the Legends series came out he started using all his free time playing it. He became slightly obsessed with the game, and finally his father had to take it away from him for a while so he could catch up on his studies.
Sometime later Len heard about an MMORPG called Ymaggion, and that the companies that were making it were looking for people to test out the Beta version. After finding out just how incredible the character creation system was he jumped at the opportunity, and soon the Ancient Guardian, Kouken, was born.
Character: Kouken (V 1.5)
Age: Unknown
Race and/or Nationality: Ancient
Appearance: Kouken has short navy blue hair in a style similar to Len’s, and has medium green eyes. He has well-tanned skin, and wears white armor comparable to Purifier armor. Over his armor Kouken wears a white w/ gold trim tunic-like garment that stretches down to his ankles. The garment is sleeveless, has slits on both sides starting at the rips, and comes down into a point. He stands at six-feet tall, and is of a medium build.
Abilities: Kouken has super strength, the ability to fly, and can fire powerful beams of energy from his palms.
Weapons & Items: (This includes miscellaneous items such as photographs, skeleton keys, etcetera)
Background: Kouken was one of many characters in the Beta Test of a game called Ymaggion. He was the guardian of ancient ruins that held “the Mother Load”, and eventually became a great ally to the Ancient MegaMan Juno. The two Ancients developed a way to fuse into one being named Saikou during a time when a villain calling himself NightShade was terrorizing the world. The two merged into the Tech Guardian, Saikou, and with some help from some of their allies they defeated NightShade, and saved Earth.
After the fight with NightShade, Kouken returned to the Mother Ruins, and continued to guard it. However, he did not remain there for long, as he was called upon by Juno for assistance against a man named Ryan Thresh AKA Reckoning. He battled beside Juno and the other members of the S.S. CalmWaters crew until Reckoning was finally defeated. Afterward, they proceeded to look for the being that had sent Ryan. They found the being that had sent Reckoning, and after battling what seemed to be a teenage boy with superhuman powers a great beast came from the boy, which turned out to be the notorious Legion of The Gospels.
Juno & Kouken fused into Saikou once more, but even the power of them combined was not enough to kill Legion. It was only after using Soul Unison with the warrior Jaden Yuki, and becoming Saikden that they were able to defeat the mighty Legion. However, this was not the end of their troubles. The being known as NightShade had returned from the dead, and was training his “son”, Akumu, to become the mightiest being on Earth. He succeeded, and merged with Akumu to create Muteki-Yami, Invincible Darkness. Even with the power of Saikou, Awai (Balance of Light), Blazen, and other allies they could not defeat Muteki-Yami. It was only after Kaitlon, the worlds most power Mage, defused the two that Akumu and Kuro (once known as NightShade) could be defeated.
Sometime after the defeat of Kuro & Akumu a new villain calling himself Xastra released The Seven Beasts of The Dark Apocalypse. Upon releasing the beasts he gained the 97% of Kuro’s power that Kuro himself had locked away thousands of years ago.
Once again Kouken and MegaMan Juno went out to help save the world, battling the minions of The 7, and with help from some newfound allies they defeated the beast Electra, and returned her to her original form, which turned out to be the daughter of Awai. They later met with another group of warriors, which included R.D. AKA Rua Dragonheart. Their meeting was rather brief, and the next day they went off in search of The 5th Beast, Hydro (more has yet to be revealed).
