The time is the early 21st century. The place is a virtual world, a virtual world not unlike the Matrix of the The Matrix trilogy, or the Digital World of the Digimon anime series. This virtual world was named Ymaggion upon it’s creation by a number of computer and gaming experts under the lead of one Shogi Yamato, because the primary reason for it’s creation was for the world of Ymaggion to be the setting of what some thought to become “the greatest game of all”.
The succeeded, although it took a lot of hard work and quite some time for it to be completed. To be sure, the creators of Ymaggion first decided to test it, or rather, have it tested by a selection of people from all around the world. This Beta test was disastrous. A number of NPC programs wreaked havoc throughout the virtual world, and some of the Beta testers are still haunted by traumatic memories of that dreadful event.
Nonetheless, Ymaggion was worked on by it’s creators after the Beta test had finally come to an end, trying to remove the “glitches” that could prove disastrous for their creation and it’s users.
After the game ventured out onto the world-wide economic market and the virtual world went online, the creators and Beta testers couldn’t help but feel somewhat… odd, to say the least. And their feelings proved right, for the game still was glitched. The horrors that had haunted the Beta test returned in the form of the so-called Mirror-Mes, who are exactly opposite to real players and number as much as there are players, and also the Sons of Darkness, nine beings that hold great power within the virtual world of Ymaggion, surpassing even the power of most admins and Beta testers of the game.
The world of Ymaggion proved to be much more amazing, but also much more terrifying than the real world. But still there are those who stand up to fight for a world that they see as theirs, and one that they experience as very real.
Current Sub-Plot(S): (PM me to ask to add a subplot if you got a good idea going. Of course, if it is a lowsy or short-lasting one, it probably won't be put on here.)
About half of the Nine Sons of Darkness are defeated, but some still remain, which might prove to be far more dangerous than their fallen brothers. Naze, Akumu, ZetsumeiRyu and Ziatoch threaten the world of Ymaggion with the great power that they have at their disposal, and only their counterparts, the so-called Daughters of Light, possess the power to truly finish them off.
