The search for Akumu(openz)

X-Fighter arrived at a place in the Desert, he was ahead of everyone else, either that, or he had been split up from the others who were also looking for Akumu. It looked like a small battle had gone on here earliar, so maybe this would lead to something? He had no idea. It was then he saw a cave, he didn't know why, but something just seemed to call him to it. So, he walked inside.

*Apparently, the portal to the Realm of Paradise was in the cave. If any were to enter it, they'd find their paradise, but there's also a link between that world and the Nightmare Realm. According to what your paradise is, there will be a small area of ill omen, the opposite of what your paradise may be. That area is the key to enter the Nightmare Realm...

Kalmar walked into the cave behind X-Fighter, wondering if the man had seen him. He felt a strange pull from the cave, the hairs on the back of his neck tingling from it.

"This has to be the place," Kalmar said aloud, trying to sense the direction of the portal to the Nightmare Realm.

Master Chief made sure their six was clear and proceded into the cave as well turning on his flashlight. After a brief visit to the core he was refreshed and ready to fight. He wasn't sure what they would find, but he was pretty sure it would have to do with the remaining nine sons. A small part of him hoped he would encounter a son, if so, he had no intention of following Kite's orders, at least not for himself. "We're getting close Chief," Cortana whispered in his helmet. "Acknowledged," he muttered as he raised his rifle to scan the following areas.

OCC: I say a few more posts to find the portal and we should switch threads.. again.

Kalmar continued into the cave and saw a faint black light shining ahead of them.

"Come, we're close." The Demon Hunter motioned them deeper into the cave, but was stopped by a screech. A small pack of doglike creatures came around the corner, their bodies mutated and vicious looking. Their jaws hung down almost as if they were unhinged with four razor sharp rows of teeth. Their claws were about three inches long and clicked against the stone everytime they moved.

One of the first dogs to appear screeched and it was answered by other farther into the cave. Kalmar leapt forward, summoning his longsword and slammed it through it's skull, silencing the beast.

"We're gonna have to fight our way through," he said as he jumped back to avoid a nasty bite from one of the dogs, "Stay on your toes!"

[Ribitta]

A dog leapt straight at the Chief. As it flew threw the air he smashed its head down with his rifle and fire a few rounds into the crippled dog. The dogs were advancing and pushing them back. The Chief dropped several more dogs with a spray of bullets killing several and forcing the rest to retreat back. Something was amiss though, dogs guarding the way to Akumu?

*After the heroes fought their way through the "dogs", they found the portal... the one that led to the "Realm of Paradise." When they enter, they will find that they will be experienceing the greatest and most loved dreamworld of the one who first entered it. But their will be a very small area of ill fate and darkness... That area is the entrance to the Nightmare Realm...

Kalmar looked at the portal, glowing brightly and seemingly out of place in the dark cave.

"Shall we?" He asked his companions, motioning for them to enter the portal.

X-Fighter was already inside, looking at the marvels of the Realm of Paradice. The place seems so peaceful, so serene, it almost seemed impossible. "What's taking them so long...?", he said to himself.

[Ribitta]

Master Chief walked through with his gun still leveled keeping an eye out for enemies or the entrance to the nightmare realm. "Cortana, scan for the entrance," Master Chief ordered. "Aye Chief, give me some time though, despite what this place looks like, its huge."

Kalmar quickly followed his two companions, feeling a serene sensation wash over him as he entered the Realm of Paradise.

He tried to sense the opening to the Nightmare Realm, but he felt nothing. The place they were in seemed to be massive, or never ending, despite what it looked like.

"Alright, let's move quickly. We can't get lost in here." Kalmar started forward, summoning his scythe in his right hand and a small energy orb in his left. He would be prepared for anything, especially when they found the Nightmare Realm entrance.

"Well, we ain't gonna get nowhere by just standing here.", X-Fighter said, dashing ahead of the two. After a long while, he came upon an oasis. He decided to take a break and sit down, when he saw something shining in the water. He reached down and pulled out a violet colored gem, nothing seemed very special about it, but he decided to keep it and put it in his invetory. As he looked to his front and his left, he saw many grassfields, even further was desert, but as he looked to his right, he saw a forest, beyond that, was a dark place, where a it seemed a constant storm was brewing, it dort of gave him an erie feeling.
