This thread is for an alphabetical listing of any creatures that live in the sea that you can possibly encounter in Ymaggion. If you wish for this list to be expanded, go suggest a creature in the Creature Suggestion thread.
Gan
The Gan is a colossal reptilian sea-faring creature, looking like a gigantic komodo dragon with a crested head and webbed claws, covered in gray-green scales. The entire size of a full-grown Gan rivals that of cruise liners. While normally docile, Gan can become fearsome and incredibly dangerous opponents if provoked. These creatures are immune to electricity and can generate it at will, often forming it as a massive orb of lightning that produces an electromagnetic pulse. The roar of a Gan is so great that it can shatter glass and, in fact, entire buildings. The most unique feature of a Gan is that their bodily fluids possess an incredibly powerful regenerative effect on any living creature that it touches. As such, their saliva and blood is often harvested for medical procedures, as it is so strong that it can even regenerate lost limbs with ease. Gan are normally found resting in deep parts of the ocean, and feed on their natural enemies, sea serpents. Despite being sea creatures, Gan are amphibious and can survive out of water.
Hippocampus
The Hippocampus is a half-horse, half-fish creature. It has the head and front legs of a horse, and the rest is all fishy-like. They are common near places where rivers pour their water into the sea, and also other places with a lot of water. Of course, they do not appear on land. Like the Pegasus, they are friendly, and usually do not attack humans, only doing so if they are attacked first. If you feed them, they might be willing to give you a ride.
Memphre
A Memphre is a saurian-like aquatic predator, with a lithe and powerful black-skinned body, with a single pair of large, flat fins a short, stumpy tail, and a long powerful neck topped with a reptilian head, complete with slitted, yellow eyes and a maw full of sharp teeth. Memphres are very fast swimmers, allowing them to chase down their prey. Memphres are very rare creatures; one is known to make its home within the Sea Temple.
Murloc
The Murloc is a savage, frog-like aquatic being, residing beneath the seas, or in rivers and lakes. They are amphibious, but rarely leave the water for long amounts of time. They are only mildly intelligent, speaking an indecipherable, guttural language, but have learned how to use tools and weapons. Murlocs can be found in any part of the world where there is a large body of water, and as of late, a strange, mutated strain of Murlocs has been appearing, featuring darker, more sinister colors and a more aggressive behavior, making them turn on their own brethren under duress.
Scylla
The Scylla is the naval, sea-snake version of the Hydra. Like the Hydra it's very hard to kill, and in-battle, it grows more heads over time. It usually appears in the deep sea.
Seasnake
Seasnakes are quite common naval creatures, but appear more deep into the sea, but not too far, as that is the territory of the Gan, their natural enemy. Seasnakes are generally long, blue, agile snake-like creatures that can spout blasts of water from their mouth.
