This thread is for an alphabetical listing of any Mythical Creatures you can possibly encounter in Ymaggion. If you wish for this list to be expanded, go suggest a creature in the Creature Suggestion thread.
Also, dragons aren't listed here, for they have their own thread.
Centaur
The Centaur is a half-man, half-horse creature. The upper part is that of a human, going down to the waist, where the horse part begins. Centaurs usually come out at night, when they go look at the sky and study the stars. They are good bowmen, and often carry bow and quiver with them.
Chimera
The Chimera is a triple-headed creature, with the right head being a goat's, the middle being a lion's, and the left being an eagle's. It's front legs are those of a huge lion, with large, powerful claws. It's hind legs are those of a gargantuan goat, being larger, thicker, sturdier than those of a normal goat, and it's hooves are big. It has the wings of a giant eagle, enabling it to fly, and it's tail is snake in itself. A real snake, capable of biting people with it's head, and poisoning them. It is also capable of breathing fire from it's heads. This all makes it a very strong and versatile beast, but luckily, it's pretty rare, tending to live near the top of a volcano.
Colossus
The Colossus is, as the name suggests, a colossal being. A giant, twice the size of a normal Giant, and consisting of metal, it is very hard to kill. Possibly one of the toughest beings in the game, it is found in hidden places inside cities.
Cyclops
A Cyclops is a kind of giant, being several times a large as a human just like the different kinds of Giants. It has only one eye in the middle of it's forehead, and a thick, sturdy horn of ivory stands atop it's head. It is fond of eating humans, and clubbing them to death near crossways with it's large club.
Enicorn
Very similar to the Unicorn, the Enicorn has a blade sticking out of it's forehead, instead of a horn. Such blades are magical, often used to repel evil or battle certain creatures.
Fire Giant
A Giant set aflame, Fire Giants are found inside and near volcanoes or other, very hot areas. They are capable of throwing fireballs around.
Frost Giant
An ice-cold version of the Giant, Frost Giants live in the coldest areas of the world, breathing ice-cold air to freeze enemies.
Giant
Much like a supersized human (roughly 5 times as large) Giants are powerful beings, and still pretty fast, compared to their size. Giants live in mountains, usually the colder areas of the world.
Griffin
A creature with the wings, head, and front legs of an eagle, and the back and tail of a lion. This flight-capable creature usually is found guarding dungeons and treasure chests.
Hippogriff
The Hippogriff is half-eagle, half-horse, the head, front legs and wings being that of a large eagle, the back, hind legs and tail being a horse's. It usually lives near mountains, far away from city-life. If you treat them right, they won't hurt you, but if you don't, you better be ready for it, because they are powerful creatures.
Hydra
The Hydra is a land creature, looking very much alike an ancient four-footed dinosaur. It's very hard to kill, and in-battle, it grows more heads over time. It is usually found near warm, hard-to-reach places that have large amounts of water nearby.
Jackalope
A jackalope is a large, antilope-like hare without hooves, but with large, curled horns on it’s head. If provoked, which happens rather easily, it will charge at the target with it’s horns. When it finds out the target is stronger than itself, though, being naturally cowardly, it will immediately flee.
Manticore
The Manticore is very similar to a large lion with the head of a gorilla, and a thick, sturdy skin that looks like it's made out of blood-red fragments of stone. It's tail is long and thick and at the end rests a large mace-like spiked ball of which it can fire off the spikes.
Medusa
The Medusa is a reptilian humanoid, having no legs, but arms and a head like a human. Their "hair" is composed of snakes, and their gaze can petrify others when they look into the Medusa's eyes. Luckily, the Medusa tends to stay in one place, with their eyes closed.
Minotaur
The Minotaur is a half-man, half-bull creature, having the horned head of a bull and often the tail as well, combined with the body of a human. Often seen in leather armour, and wielding a double-bladed axe.
Nemean Lion
The Nemean Lion is a large kind of lion with a skin that cannot be pierced. It's roar sends out large, powerful waves of sonic energy. This creature can be found near the foot of a mountain.
Pegasus
Pegasi are flying horses. They are friendly, and usually do not attack humans, only doing so if they are attacked first. They are fairly common, appearing on just about every continent. They do not appear on islands, however. If you feed them, they might be willing to give you a ride.
Unicorn
A Unicorn is a magical horse with a horn that is usually found near lakes or forests on the continent of Allondell. Rarely has one been reported elsewhere. They have high natural resistance against magic.
Weretiger
The Kouchian version of the Werewolf, the Weretiger looks like a normal human usually, but changes into a tiger during the full moon. Unlike the Werewolf, they never appear in groups. Perhaps two at the same time, though.
Werewolf
A werewolf is actually a human, but changes into a werewolf during the full moon. That's why this creature is rarely found, since they only appear once a month. They are powerful and agile creatures, but do not make a habit of sticking into packs like normal wolves, though they mostly do travel in small groups. Perhaps 6 at max.
