NPC or PC: NPC
Real- Life Character Name: None
Ymaggion Character Name: Necropheles
Alias: None
Age: Created during the Beta
Gender: None
Nationality: None
Rank: Gamma
Strengths/Weaknesses: Necropheles is a construct made up of organic matter, made up of a black gooey substance. Because of this he is able to shift his general form into different shapes, and then slowly harden or soften upon will. This nature of his allows him to force his way through small cracks or keyholes, and then harden and re-form on the other side. This plasm of his is also somewhat elastic and durable, allowing him once hardened to posses strength greater then then most human limits. (Depending on his volume and form he will be stronger. He can always military bench press 2x his volume in weight.) This material that makes him slowly drips and wastes away, and every day around a tenth of his form's volume drips and sticks away to the surfaces he traverses. Because of this he must on occasion feed on organic matter to rejuvenate himself, unfortunately people suffice most of the time. Even if he can acquire multiple sources of organic matter and increase in size he becomes stronger, but as mentioned earlier he daily loses 10% of his volume. Large forms the size of a horse or larger therefor loses much more material daily, and requires him to feed much more to keep up his volume. Speaking for Necropheles is difficult but he can growl or roar, and speak a couple sentences if he wants to. He has intelligence slightly less or equal to that of a person. Fire and water have various negative effects on him. Fire will quickly roast away and harden patches of his matter, rendering them useless. Water on contact will soften him, and it may dilute him if he isn't very dense.
Clothing/Armor: Necropheles has a gelid nature, and because of this clothes are unsuited for him. Unless he has a human shape and density then clothes will simply stick to him or go into him, and even then wearing clothes is useless.
Physical Appearance: Necropheles is made up of a gooey material similar to that of mud, and has a jet black color to it. Depending on how much material is in him he can take on various different shapes, although none of them can be very complicated. When traveling about he will take the shape of a person around 6'6" tall with the weight of 230 lbs. Once he gets established in an area and begins to feed he will gain mass, and then he may take on a different shape better suited to the city or such. Upon hardening the material becomes darker and black in hue, and shiny. For intimidation purposes his jaw is lined with a few rows of long teeth.
(Also had to shop this like crazy. Guess what pic its from and I'll give you a cookie)
Personality: Necropheles has a sadistic and predatory personality. This isn't because he is a cruel being by nature but rather because his life style requires him to constantly kill and feed off creatures to sustain himself. Over time this has made him cold, used to the constant killing and sneaking about. He has no regard for life at all, though he can discern and predict the future consequences of his actions. This allows him to make plans or plots way off in the future, as well as partnering with other beings for his own good.
Equipment: None
Miscellaneous Items: None
Elemental Affinity: Dark
Special Abilities: Necropheles is much stronger then a normal human, being able to bench-press 2x his own volume. (460 lbs in his humanoid form) He is on average just as quick as a person, perhaps a little slower. Each day Necropheles loses 10% of his mass, and he must ingest the organs and fluids from creatures to keep up his weight/replace all of this lost material. In this sense it is also possible for him to gain much more material and weight, but it will be hard to sustain larger sizes.
Transformations: None
Techniques: Spores, Corrosive Acid, Bond, Bone-Shards
Super Techniques: Skin-Wearing, Incorpability, Invisibility
Battle Style: Necropheles prefers ambush over open conflict, since someone with knowledge of him can easily manipulate his weaknesses to their advantage. His favorite method of ambush is stalking around the target, getting information on them, and then jumping them quickly at an unexpected moment. If a target is a mage or such he will burrow into the ceiling of their house, then puncture some holes in the ceiling above their bed- splashing down when the enemy is asleep. During a clash he prefers to use strong and ravenous attacks, smashing at the target with his hands or clawing at them when they get close. He doesn't fight dirty in the least, although he may go for the eyes during a fight. Necropheles's favorite way of killing is to quickly jump a foe and smother then if possible.
Companions: None
History: Necropheles was created as an NPC during the Beta testing, and was originally meant to be once of the many unique monsters meant to be hunted down. During the ensuring problems with the system he gained more sentience then was intended. In all the chaos he was soon forgotten about, moving off from the area where he was created. In order to keep himself alive he needed to feed- and so he began feeding on critters and such to stay alive.
Once he got the mass of a human, he began needing to feed off larger prey. Not many animals in the wilderness were able to fend him off in the least, after his ambushes. Necropheles wondered around the rain forest that he was in, sustaining his mass off of animals. Around a month later he had come across a stay village of NPC humans.
After assuming a vaguely humanoid shape to match these creatures, he decided to simply study and watch them for a while. He loitered around the outskirts of the village watching them and studying them. During this period of time he was seen once or twice, scaring the people who saw him. From this watching he had discerned that there were other villages and perhaps larger places containing these humans. The study also helped him intelligently, picking up on some words that they had spoken.
Soon after he got tired of the observation he waltzed on in to the village, and killed every last one of the villagers. One of them had tried to bargain with him, telling him off of a ship that would take him out of the jungle. Necropheles killed that one dude, then emptied the contents and wore the human about. After around half a day of travel he arrived to some docks, and hitched a ride on the S.S Calmwaters, not caring where it would take him.
RP Example: Necropheles walked on into the center of the village, looking about for people as he walked. The village gave off a deserted hue, but that was only because of him. The strange silence was quickly broken by bushes and terrain being brushed by bodies. A group of ten humans charged on in from the other side of the village- armed with what appeared to be long throwing spears and some axes. Necropheles turned to face them, grinning widely. All ten of the humans seemed large and muscular, all around 6 feet in height or more. Seemingly the jungle had required them to adapt in that way to survive. Before they were in melee fighting range a spear whipped through the air and hit Necropheles in the chest. The weapon stopped half-way in, jutting out of his back. Of course the thing was almost trivial since it could not harm him. The humans were still sprinting at him, getting close to fighting range. The one in the lead gripped his axe with both hands, and the other nine dropped farther back. Necropheles' arm shot off like a snake, stretching longer and hitting the man in the neck. The force of the blow threw the man backward into a tree, crumbling his throat. Due to the long length of his arm the other became shriveled and small, supplying the material for the transformation. Another spear went through the air like a bullet hitting Necropheles. Pulling the dead man up into the air, Necropheles brought him within a couple feet. His left fingers into claws, he shoved his hand into the mans back. Blood shot up across him, covering the ground and nearby bushes violet. The whole thing was profoundly disturbing, and the way Necropheles dug around in the man's back was reminiscent of a thief searching through a purse. After a minute he located the base of it and tore it out, letting the man crumble to the ground. About that point the other men were staring dumbfounded in perverse fear. Shoving the spine down his mouth, he began to shred and eat it in front of them.
(There's another brutal RP sample of mine. Gotta love doing these)
Extra: If a large chunk of material is removed from him, by an attack or whatever, then he cannot control it until he reconnects with it. If he doesn't reconnect with it in like 10 seconds then it becomes useless.
