NPC or PC: PC
Real- Life Character Name: Laura Adams
Ymaggion Character Name: Skygirl318
Alias: Just goes by Laura.
Age: 15
Gender: Female
Nationality: U.S.A. Philadelphia
Rank: Delta
Strengths/Weaknesses: As Laura is not a fighter, she does not take well to physical attacks. However, agility is her key component if faced with an actual enemy. She is quite quick on both her own two legs and in the air. As her body is small, she can escape through small spaces. Her overall health is low, but her magic power is enough to keep her alive with healing spells for a time.
Clothing/Armor:
Casual:
Laura generally can be found wearing a white t-shirt covered by a light sweatshirt, which remains unzipped most of the time. On the back of the sweatshirt is a pair of golden wings sown into the fabric. She wears looser jeans than some females but to the point where they become obtrusive. She is almost never found with shoes on as she has found over time that she doesn’t need them.
Journeys/Lightly armored: When embarking on a journey or someplace where fighting might occur, Laura generally wears light leather armored gauntlets going up her wrists. A firm leather cuirass that remains under a robe of white is both her upper torso’s support and protection. The robe is used mainly for conveying her abilities of a cleric and healing energy, which travel easier through her body when wearing it. Underneath both the robe and the partially covering armor is a blue jumpsuit, should she need to remove the robe she would not be bare.
Physical Appearance: Laura stands at five feet, six inches. She has black hair, slightly less than shoulder length. Her bangs descend down to brown eyes centered above a small rounded nose. Her mouth is thin and firmly set, though a smile can often be found playing on these lips. Her overall skin color is slightly pale, but not unhealthily so, and the rest of her body is well rounded and slim with a moderate sized bust and well toned and fit but not necessarily large muscles.
Personality: Laura is a loquacious person almost all the time. Even when she is sincere about something, she will talk through whatever the situation, even if it is only with herself. She enjoys the company of others, but can often be overprotective of her friends. Due to the loss of the previous friend, she clings to those close to her very tightly. It was for this reason she pursued the art of being a cleric.
In a battle, or even just a dangerous situation, Laura will become very serious. Her natural instinct is to lead the situation, though she is getting better and better at finding the person would best be fit for the task and then following their lead.
Equipment: Laura carries no real heavy equipment, her only “weapon” is a low leveled cleric’s rod. She does not need this to use her base magic, though it helps control it better. For this reason, it is not always with her.
Miscellaneous Items: Laura can be found with some basic leveled potions for healing MP, health, and both. Apart from merely potions, she can be found with herbs made to treat specific types of wounds instead of healing overall general health.
Elemental Affinity: None
Special Abilities: Laura originally designed her character to be based on the idea of flight. Later on as she played her cleric skills came into place. In the initial building though, Laura obtained the ability to fly as her character from anywhere between three and thirty miles per hour. Apart from mana control and the ability to fly, Skygirl318 has no real special abilities.
Transformations: None
Techniques: 1) Bone Rectify
2) Calm Touch
3) Cleansing
4) Light Screen
Super Techniques:
5) Circle of Healing
Battle Style: Laura can almost never ever be found fighting physically with either an NPC or a PC. If a battle arises, she will use her healing spells to heal herself and her teammates, but if this stratagem does not work, she will simply resort in healing herself and flying out of the battle.
Companions:None yet
History: Laura Adams was born to a family living in a town near a popular vacation spot called Cannon Beach. Right on the water with waters to cold to swim in, Laura lived here for eight years until her father passed away due to obesity. Laura felt simply ashamed of this, and when her mother decided they were moving back to her hometown of Philadelphia, Laura removed memories of her father and burrowed herself into the most popular game of the decade at least.
Spending most of her time and money on the game, she pushed herself into another world; her friends there became more real than the ones in real life. The line between them became so blurred, that one summer she simply stayed on the game, eventually buying a version similar to a mask that practically plugged her consciousness into the game.
In the time she spent outside of the game, she found her father had diabetes and a bad heart, thus leading to his early death. This was something that had been neglected in Laura’s life, and she became dangerously ill due to lack of exercise and nutrition. Her heart failed at the age of fourteen with her mind still enwrapped in the game. Her mother, torn by the fact that her daughter too was almost gone, kept her heart running on a machine, with the mind still stuck in the game.
Programs were set up to continue her education until a donor was found for a heart. To this day the girl’s mind is still in the game, receiving nutrition from hospital IV tubes, and still speaking with her mother through the game. Some people would call it a curse; some might call it a blessing. Laura considers it both, but she strives to make the best of it, vowing that if her human condition is fixed, that that will become her life and not a game. Until then she makes the best of things and tries to hide old memories.
RP Example: Laura’s bare feet landed lightly outside of an inn. It was easy to get lost in Newdam, but it helped to have an aerial view of things whenever it was necessary. Laura enjoyed traveling from city to city, but she enjoyed Newdam the most. For some reason it reminded her of home. She could never put her finger on why and had come to merely accept the fact.
With a soft twist of the wrist, Laura opened the door to the inn. A slight breeze attempted to force itself through the new aperture, but she closed it swiftly. It was indeed much warmer inside, and she was glad that she would have a warm place to stay for the night.
It was indeed frightening at times of how real things could feel when the entire mind was ensconced by a program, but if she had to choose any of the programs to be stuck inside, it would be right here, in the main Newdam Inn of the Ymaggion system.
It was only then that she realized how tired she actually was. Without a word, she handed over the gold to the innkeeper and walked upstairs. She stayed here very often, and she had begun to know exactly which rooms were most always open, and how to check if one was.
Opening the third door of the second hallway, she entered while shutting it once more behind her. Locking doors were not a problem really, especially when one had nothing to have stolen. Not even bothering to undress, the mid-teen crawled under the covers and turned off the light, falling to sleep quickly.
