Real- Life Character Name: Alasea Dagenais
Ymaggion Character Name: Alasea Dagenais
Alias: Alli, Princess
Age: 18
Gender: Female
Nationality: United States of America
Rank: Beta
Strengths/Weaknesses: Alasea retains a balance in her abilities, with focus on her speed, agility, and magical prowess, preferring to gain numerous strikes in rapid succession while avoiding any incoming attacks, and fending off her enemies with powerful spells. As a result, however, her physical strength isn’t nearly as strong as other sword-wielding characters, and her defense is mediocre. While she gets along well with others and is cooperative with others, she has a tendency to get emotional, and quite stubborn when others doubt her abilities merely because of her gender. Also, if someone she cares about is in danger or becomes injured, she has a serious tendency to lose control over her emotions and actions. Due to her past as a Daughter of Dawn in the beta test, she is quite skilled with any type of sword, and is very adept with magic, capable of learning it quickly, and without many difficulties.
Clothing/Armor: Alasea has three specific outfits she wears in Ymaggion, two from the game itself and the other being the attire she wore during the Beta Test.
The first is the outfit she began Ymaggion with. It consists of light plate armor made of steel and simple clothing. The shirt is a simple black short-sleeved tee, made of cotton. Her pants are simple and sturdy black jeans that fit snugly on her body, contouring to her form and allowing easy placement of her armor. Her feet are clad in soft leather boots that lace up the middle and extend to the top of the calf. Her hands are clad in fingerless gloves made of a black material that extends to just below the elbow. Leather bracers with metal plating on them are strapped around the gloves, with another small plate placed over the back of the glove’s hand area. Metal armor is strapped around the boots, extending up to the knee, and another plate of armor is strapped to the front of each thigh. More armor is placed on her shoulders and collarbone, extending up to the base of her neck. A breastplate, forged to fit a female figure, is strapped over her front by two straps that cross over the back, holding down the shoulder armor. A smaller metal plate is placed over the straps where the cross. Plate armor is laid out across her groin, rear, and hips, each side covered by two plates, one overlapping the other. Two leather belts are strapped around her waist, crossing each other in front and back, with the Megami Tsurugi’s sheath strapped to the right hip.
The second is the outfit she wore during the Beta Test after the attack on her city by the Dark Dragon. It consists of black and red clothing, made of cotton and leather. Her breasts and stomach are clad in a red cotton tube top, and a small black leather jacket, left open, is worn over it. She wears a black miniskirt, the hem of which running down to mid-thigh. Ornamental red lines run down the front of the skirt, along the length of her leg. Her legs are clad in black stockings that run up to just above her knees, and she wears soft leather boots over this, which extend an halfway up her shins. Her hands are clad in black, fingerless biker gloves.
The third is an outfit given to her by Master Chief during a chance encounter in the lands beyond the Great Wall. It is a skintight bodysuit designed to keep her perfectly warm in cold environments. The suit is made of a warm fabric, colored a cold blue, almost violet color, with silver lining that makes rings around her wrists, forearm, ankles, upper calves, shoulders, and waist. A gold katakana symbol meaning "Aurora" its emblazoned on the right breast of the suit. The suit covers her entire body except for her head, and she wears her normal armor over the bodysuit.
Physical Appearance: Alasea is a slender, beautiful young woman of medium height. Her body build is slim and athletic, and while appears soft, she’s quite strong. She has a white complexion, while maintaining a light, healthy tan. Her hair is long, extending to just past her shoulder blades, and brown in color. Her bangs reach her shoulders, and are often tucked back behind her ears to keep them out of her face. Depending on the situation, Alasea may tie her hair up to keep it from getting in the way. Alasea’s eyes are a bright, cerulean blue. With a moderate bust and curving hips, she has a body that’d make heads turn, but she rarely flaunts it.
Personality: Alasea is a kind and friendly young woman, intelligent and outgoing. She’ll often exude a “tough girl” persona, the result of growing up having to depend on herself. She’s polite and cordial to others, and she’s not easily angered. However, certain comments can set her off—sexist comments will definitely trigger her ire. Alasea is an optimist, always looking on the brighter side of things, and as a result is usually the one to cheer others up in bleaker situations. She’ll often flirt with Rua Dragonheart when near him.
Alasea has a bit of a jealous streak when it comes to her boyfriend, but she rarely lets it control her, unless she has just reason. Despite her cheerfulness, Alasea can be very determined and very rarely gives up. This will also show in battle—opponents are hard-pressed to stop her, as she’s a very resourceful woman whose cunning will often surprises the enemy.
It should be noted that Alasea will choose her friends over anything else, especially Rua, who, in her eyes, is top priority, which tends to put her at odds with the Staff and the leader of the Daughters of Light, Areni. Despite this, she is still considered a valuable asset to the staff and a very powerful ally.
Equipment:
Megami Tsurugi – The mystical blade that Alasea carried on her when she became a Daughter of Dawn in the beta test. This weapon serves as her primary armament, and was hidden within the two short swords that Alasea normally carried.
Phase Blade – Alasea’s secondary armament is a Phase Blade, one with a black hilt and a slightly curved, yellow-colored blade, like a scimitar. She often uses this weapon simultaneously with the Megami Tsurugi.
Miscellaneous Items:
Personal Shield Generator – A small, white armlet with a violet-colored jewel set into it. Creates a weak field of energy, shaped like a shield, that can block melee weapon attacks and weak energy blasts. The energy field is two feet in diameter, and can only be activated for up to 45 minutes at a time.
Elemental Affinity: Light
Special Abilities: Alasea has an unnatural immune system. Her body will actively fight any diseases, poisons, and toxins that enter her body, to the point that they are minor annoyances, if not removed altogether. She also has a special immunity to malevolent presences—she cannot be possessed by others against her will. Alasea has a knack at solving problems with mechanics, able to activate and repair machines that will not work otherwise. The use of this ability is unknown: while she knows she can do it, Alasea is very unsure how, as it comes like an instinct for her.
As the third Daughter of Light, Alasea is the only person capable of destroying 003 Gamma, Ziatoch, completely. While others can defeat Him in battle, Ziatoch will always return until struck down for good by Alasea.
Transformations:
Drastic Soul – Alasea’s power as a Daughter of Light manifests, creating a silvery aura around her upper torso while the air around her body shimmers as if in a heat mirage. Two silvery wings of energy extend from her back, six feet out for each wing. The Drastic Soul transformation grants Alasea the ability to fly, and increases her speed and mobility. Magical damage is reduced greatly, and all non-Alpha rank techniques are upgraded by a single rank for the duration of the transformation. This transformation is difficult to attain, often requiring her to be pushed to the limit in battle.

Battle Style: Alasea is a master swordswoman. She fights primarily with the Megami Tsurugi, attacking gracefully with swift strikes, and occasionally wields her Phase Blade alongside the weapon. Her attacks are fluid and precise, always adjusting her aim to take advantage of her opponent’s openings. She’ll often infuse her attacks with magic, increasing the potency of her weapon. Her agility makes it very difficult for her opponents to land hits. When Alasea is not wielding her weapons, she uses powerful magic to keep her opponents at bay. While she mainly uses buffing magic to enhance her own abilities, she is very capable of wielding powerful offensive magic of any kind of element.
Companions: Alasea has a constant companion in Rua Dragonheart. He is a fellow beta tester, and her closest friend. More importantly, he is her boyfriend, and the two of them are madly in love with each other. Due to Rua’s friendship with them, Alasea is good friends with Locke and Marianna Silverwind.
Alasea is one of the prophesized Daughters of Light, destined to fight the Sons of Darkness. As a result, she is acquainted with and become friends with the other eight Daughters, Areni and Crystal in particular.
History: Alasea Dagenais was one of Ymaggion’s Beta Testers, of the infamous Epsilon Project. In the beta, she kept her original name and chose to monitor the extremely advanced A.I. of the more common NPCs. To this end, she was very much like a normal girl in the Epsilon Project. However, it would turn out she was anything but a normal teenager. Over time, she lived a peaceful life, but things steadily grew tense as the Seven Beasts of the Dark Apocalypse were awakened. Alasea grew extremely concerned as more and more of the U.S. lost contact, and eventually the peace in the city she lived in was shattered. When MegaMan Juno was defeated by Dark Dragon, the giant beast assaulted her city first, murdering everyone except three people: the Rising Dragon, Alasea, and her own father. Alasea was separated from her family, and became lost. While she believed her family had perished, her father survived and escaped the city, also under the impression his family had been destroyed.
Alasea hid until the city was abandoned. She hid in the ruins of a building, and accidentally makes a sound. At this time, R.D., Matt Willard, and Hugo the Mettaur were roaming through the city after facing off against Rugal Bernstein. The noise was heard by R.D., who went to check it out. Their fateful meeting was a quick but harsh battle in a darkened room. Alasea, unaware of what she was fighting, attacked him in order to remain hidden. She was distracted by Matt and defeated, and R.D. took her along with them. She joined their group after she awakened, and traveled with them. When the group traveled to the island of Persior, she found herself facing off against the second-in-command of Gouki, Cora. During this battle, she showed signs of a strange power within her: she was able to reverse the element of Cora’s fiery attacks with her own weapons. Later on Persior, when the group fought the Ruinsman Guardian beast, R.D. shielded her from a powerful attack that sent them both hurtling into the waters around Persior. The two of them washed up on an abandoned island. The two of them worked together to return to the mainland, arriving at R.D.’s house, where she found pictures of both R.D. and his twin sister Mesia. The two of them left the house in search of their friends, and intervened in the battle between Matt Willard and Rugal Bernstein. After this battle, the reunited group went to Kattelox, where Alasea met MegaMan Juno. After explaining the situation to him, the group entered battle with the minions of both Ziatoch and Donovan. During this entire time, Alasea grew in strength and tempered her growing powers, making herself a more valuable member of the team.
After the battle with Gouki’s third-in-command, Bruno, brother of Houka, Alasea met with a elegant red-haired woman named Aisha Liembre. This fateful meeting set Alasea down her destined path, as she revealed the truth behind her strange power: She was a Daughter of Dawn, one of five destined to defeat the Eternal Destroyer of Worlds. Aisha showed Alasea the Pillar of Dawn and told her of her purpose. She instructed Alasea to follow R.D. and Matt on their adventure for now; she would know when it would be time to achieve her destiny. Alasea went with the others on their group across the Multiverse, and as she did, she further developed her powers—and found herself growing more and more fond of R.D.. When the group fought the psychotic missionary Graham in Dracula’s Castle, Alasea’s true power manifested, and she created her personal weapon, the Megami Tsurugi, from the two short swords she carried with her. When the battle had concluded and the group departed from the world, they found themselves back on R.D. and Alasea’s home world… it was time for Alasea to seek out and attain her destiny as a Daughter of Dawn. The group quickly found the Pillar of Dawn at the southern tip of Japan, and when she approached, the Pillar connected with her, allowing to achieve her maximum power. However, due to this, she could no longer travel with her friends, and they were forced to part ways despite her heart breaking.
It wasn’t long before the power of the Pillar of Dawn caught the attention of Alasea’s demonic rival, Cora. She quickly sought out Alasea, and the two battled to a standstill, shocking Cora at the new power this “little girl” now possessed. However, the battle was cut short when Aisha warned Alasea of an approaching disaster, as Re-Tuul had returned to the place of his birth to create more Khaglessi. Alasea warned Cora, who took the warning to heart and went to report this to the Seven Beasts of the Dark Apocalypse. Alasea continued her duties as a Daughter of Dawn, learning much and growing much stronger. She soon took up the role as the Daughters’ leader, and led them in the prayer during the final battle with Ziatoch, where the Pillars of Dawn lashed out at the Destroyer of Worlds, enabling the heroes to strike Him down once and for all.
As the Beta Test concluded, she returned to her normal lifestyle, despite missing Loal, as she had realized by now she had fallen in love with him. Luckily for her, he felt the same for her, and sought her out. The two quickly entered a serious relationship, and they continue to date even as Ymaggion was released. Loal convinced her to join this new gameworld, despite their better judgment. Despite the lack of the Pillars of Dawn in Ymaggion, Alasea quickly realized she had retained much of her old power. This power would soon put her on another path, similar to the first: she was a prophesized Daughter of Light, and the one destined to completely eradicate the failed Dark Balance, 003 Gamma, who was otherwised known as Ziatoch, the Eternal Destroyer of Worlds and the third Son of Darkness.
RP Example: Alasea sighed and stretched, perched on a nearby rock. Since her friends had departed, she had been instructed by two of the Daughters of Dawn, Aisha and Tomoko, on how to control her ability of creation. As she studied and worked, she slowly made a home for herself, reminiscent of the western styles. After all, if she was going to be living here, she'd need a house, wouldn't she?
She also used her powers to start healing the land. The destruction wrought here in the past had been extensive, a lot of the land being dead and barren. The Pillar of Dawn changed that, and now a small, sparse forest thrived near her home.
As the day had passed, she learned much about her new powers, and was slowly realizing just how powerful she would become. But still, now that she was here, she was lonely. She missed her friends, having grown quite accustomed to Matt's insane antics and R.D.'s dry humor, Hugo's foul mouth and Helena's shy friendliness. Despite how depressed she felt, she clinged to the hope that R.D. had given her; his promise that he'd come back for her.
Night came and went, and as the sun slowly rose over the waters, Alasea created breakfast, ate, and proceeded to the Pillar of Dawn, ready for more of her instruction by her new comrades.
