@morph: I went from twists to semi-expected? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOh well.
Anyway, two issues in one day? ZOUNDS! Don't expect this to happen often, if at all after this, okay?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tony punched a wall in his room. "Damn it!", he nearly shouted with anger. "How could Xing have beaten me? I had him in the palm of my hands!", Tony walked over to a desk and picked up his deck. "Well no more doing things the nice way, I shall never lose again!"
Meanwhile, Professor Jackson opened the door to Professor Willard's' office, seeing his friend sitting behind a desk, clutching his head.
"I'm in no mood to talk, Jackson.", Willard said.
"I know you're worried about what happened earliar, infact it's what I came here to talk to you about.", Jackson replied.
Willard raised his head. "How can we continue on if this new way to duel hurts people?"
"That's just it.", Jackson said, "We need to see what these spheres can do at a full level of power."
"But-", Willard was interupted.
"They will recover, Willard.", Jackson stated. "We should announce a tournament to the testers. We'll be able to see what the gold spheres can do at their different levels, then from there, we will decide to continue or not. We must also show that these effects are only temporary, and that this style of dueling can be a great contribution to Duel Monsters."
"But, what would be in it for the duelists?", Willard asked.
"Offer a prize. Money, a rare card, even a gold sphere if you have to! And of course, title of the Master of the Shadow Games.". said Jackson.
"Shadow Games?", Willard asked.
"A name I recently came up with, quite fitting isn't it?", Jackson said.
"Alright...fine, but if something goes terribly wrong, I'll shut down the arena and the casualty will be counted as your fault, Jackson.", Willard said.
"Very well.", and with that, Jackson left the office, closed the door behind him, and walked down the hall with a grin on his face.

Not an issue update, but I just wanted to say that I found pics for the Academy Duel Disk and another Duel Disk I forgot to mention, the Dark World Disk. Academy: Dark World: Another Duel Disk I forgot to mention was the Yo-Yo Disk. However, I sort of have a distaste for it, not that it's bad, but...meh.

The next day, all of the testing duelists came into the science lab at roughly the same time.
It was then an announcement came over the loud speaker.
"Attention duelists! Today, we will be having a Tournament between all of you using our new dueling system. The champion will not only recieve title of being the champion, but they also get a second prize based on what they choose. If you look, you'll see a table with various cards on it."
The duelists went over to the table, on it were various copies of three different cards.
"If you choose the card with treasures shown on it, you'll be awarded a $50,000 dollar cash prize. If you choose the one with two Black Luster Soldiers on it, you'll be given copies of the rarest cards your opponents that you defeated had. If you choose the blank card, you will be given one portable item from this lab, weither it be a gold sphere, a modified Duel Disk, or something else. If any of you do not wish to participate, feel free to leave now. Also, Willard and I will be participating as well, and if one of us wins, no prizes will be handed out, thank you."
With that, the announcement ended, and all the duelists chose their cards.
A large screen then decended down from the cieling. Names started randomizing on screen, until it stopped. The screen displayed: "Amy vs Dante"
A girl that looked about 13 or 14 then started walking towards the duel arena.
However... No boy started walking up.
"Uh, Dante, you're up.", a duelist said, pushing a boy with black hair.
"Huh?", Dante said, pushing his hair out of his eyes and seeing the screen. "Oh..."
With that, Dante walked towards the duel arena.
Infront of the arena was a display of different Duel Disk models, all with gold spheres in their centers, and sign above them saying, "Choose. But if you don't wish to use a disk, then both of you are free to use the Duel Stadium".
Amy chose the Yo-Yo model Duel Disk while Dante chose the Battle City version. The two then steped up onto the platform, activated their disks, and drew 5 cards.

Note: I won't be telling about how Amy throws out the disk, then reels it back and all that over and over again, thank you.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"You can go first.", Amy said to Dante.
Dante drew a sixth card and added it to his hand. "I'll summon Skilled Black Magician and end my turn."
Amy drew a sixth card. "I'll play the Continuous Magic Card, Stumbling!!", she announced. "And I summon my Dream Clown,", she then threw her disk out onto the field like a Frisbee, the cards then being projected, "attack!"
The Dream Clown rushed at the Skilled Black Magician, but as it was about to hit, it stumbled over, destroyed the Magician, instead of it getting destroyed.
"Stumbling changes my Dream Clown to defense mode, and thanks to its effect, I get to destroy one card on the field, and the only other card was your Magician. I'll end with a face-down.", Amy said.
Dante frowned a little, there went his first strategy. He drew his next card and added it to his hand. "I'll play Raigeki!"
A giant bolt of lightning then came down from the sky, destroying the Dream Clown.
"Now I'll set a monster."
"Nope!", Amy said, flipping a trap. "Level Limit - Area A!"
"What's that do?", Dante asked.
"Basically...", Amy started explaining as Dante's' face-down monster changed to face-up attack position, it was Kaibaman. "Now attack is defense, and defense is attack."
Dante ended his turn.
Amy drew. "I'll summon Blade Rabbit in attack mode! Attack!"
But thanks to the effects of Stumbling, Blade Rabbit stumbled over, indirectly destroying Kaibaman.
"Now I'll end with two face-downs."
Dante drew things, "Let's try something else...", he thought. "I play Change of Heart!"
The Blade Rabbit then hopped over to Dante's' side.
"So?", Amy questioned. "You can't attack directly!"
"Not my plan to.", Dante said, then turning Blade Rabbit into attack mode. But then Stumbling kicked in, but Rabbit stumbled over....Stumbling!
Amy gasped at what happened now all monster would have to stay in attack mode.
"See, I noticed this, your monsters have an effect to when they go to defense mode, they can destroy any card on the field, I mearly used it to my advantage, and made it so you couldn't use it anymore.", Dante explained. "Now then, I summon Red-Eyes Black Chick!"
A baby Red-Eyes Black Dragon, still in its egg, rose onto the field.
"And its effect lets me sacrifice it to summon Red-Eyes Black Dragon!"
The Chick was covered by and energy pillar, and the mighty Red-Eyes Black Dragon rose out of it.
Amy was about to open her mouth, but Dante interrupted. "And thanks to Red-Eyes's' attack, Inferno Fire Blast, he can attack you directly!"
The Dragon generated a giant fireball from its mouth then blasting Amy from it.
"Aaah!", she screamed, being sent flying off of the dueling platform.
The crowd of fellow testers cheered, "Great job Dante!", and other such comments.
Dante went to step down down from the platform...only to trip.
The duelists all sweat dropped after that.
The screen then started randomly picked two new names, it stopped at...
Davion vs Denzi.
"Finnaly some action!", one male duelist with spikey blonde hair cheered, then running up to the display of Duel Disks, Davion walking behind. Davion chose the Chaos Duel Disk while Denzi chose the Duel Coat. Both duelists then stepped up to the dueling platform, and drew their starting hands.

Sorry if I didn't get Dante right, Morph.

Well, I'm surprised the duel lasted for such a short time. As for getting him right, you could just next time add a little more narcissistic/egotistical comments in there. ;p Like "Told ya I was gonna win!"

The duel was short due to Red-Eyes having 2400 ATK, and since the starting rounds are only having 2000 LP, well...
Anyways, egotistical, got it.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"I'll go first.", Davion said, drawing a sixth card. "I'll summon Gemini Elf."
Two elf sisters rose onto the field, both sharing their attack and defense points.
"Now I'll set a card and end my turn.", Davion finished.
Denzi drew his sixth card. "I'll summon Battle Ox and play Ookazi!"
A bomb went off infront of Davion, dropping his life points to 1200.
"Now I'll play Shadow Spell!"
Multiple chains rushed from outside the haze, constricting the Gemini Elfs and lowering their attack points by 700.
"But that's a trap card...", Davion said.
"Not that creative are ya?", Denzi said. "It's name is Shadow SPELL! And so, I can play it directly. Battle Ox, attack!"
The sliced both of the Elfs in half, lowering Davion's' life points even more to 900.
"Your turn."
Davion drew, sort of annoyed. "I flip my trap, Call of the Haunted!"
A purple haze covered the ground, and zombie versions of the Gemini Elf rose out of the ground.
"Meet my Zombie Elfs.", Davion said. "Next I'll play Giant Trunade!"
Soon, a great wind start swirling around the two duelists, returning Call of the Haunted to Davion's' hand and returning the Elfs to normal.
"Hold on, shouldn't those Elfs be gone?", Denzi questioned.
"Loophole.", Davion Davion started explaining. "The card stated that, when it is destroyed, the revived monsters goes to the graveyard, that doesn't include getting returned to the hand! Now then, I'll set a card and summon Insect Knight! Attack!"
The Knight slashed through the Battle Ox, lowering Denzi's' life points to 1800.
"Your go."
Denzi drew. "I'll activate Fissure, so those Gemini Elfs are gone!"
"Wrong!", Davion shouted, "My trap, Compulsory Evacuation Device!"
The Gemini Elfs then returned to Davion's' hand, avoiding being destroyed.
"Grr... I'll set a monster, and then a card in the magic and trap zone. Your turn."
Davion drew, now he was getting somewhere. "I'll sacrifice my Knight for Jinzo! So now any traps you lay are useless, especially since I equip it with Amplifier. Now Jinzo, attack!"
Jinzo fired a dark beam at the face-down monster, destroying it.
Denzi drew, things weren't looking too good, sure, he was in the lead life points wise, but still... It was then Denzi looked at his card, and was instantly relieved. "I'll activate De-Spell! So now that Amplifier is destroyed, along with the monster it's equipped to!"
Davion didn't respond.
"Now I summon Kaiser Sea Horse, your turn."
Davion drew. "I'll set a card and re-summon Gemini Elf!"
"Strike two!", Denzi said, flipping over Trap Hole.
"Ugh...I end.", Davion responded.
Denzi drew. "I'll set a card and end."
Davion drew. "I summon Luster Dragon, attack!"
Denzi's' Sea Horse was destroyed, decreasing his life points to 1600, but he also flipped a trap, Just Desserts, making Davion's' life points drop to 400.
Denzi drew for his turn. "I'll set a monster and end."
"Works for me.", Davion said as he drew. "I play Heavy Storm!"
The haze around the two darkened, it was soon some wind picked up, then getting more and more fierce, lightning struck, Denzi's' face-down was blown away and... Luster Dragon got a power up!
"Thanks to Heavy Storm,", Davion started to explain, "Luster Dragon can now inflict piercing damage! Attack!"
Denzi's' face-down Hane-Hane was destroyed, lowering his life points to 400, but thanks to the effect of Hane-Hane, Luster Dragon was returned to Davion's' hand.
"Looks like we're even...", Denzi said as he drew. "I play Monster Reborn to bring back my Kaiser Sea Horse, then I end."
Davion drew. "I'll summon back my Luster Dragon and set a face-down card. Now my Dragon, attack!"
Denzi's' life points lowered to 200.
Denzi drew and immediately set the card. "I'll end with that."
Davion drew. "I'll summon Outstanding Dog Marron."
"Good, cause I flip Gift of the Mystical Elf!", Denzi broke in.
The Mystical Elf then appeared on Denzi's'' field in defense mode, and rose Denzi's' life points to 1100.
"Gah, I end.", Davion said.
Denzi drew. "I'll set a monster and end."
Davion drew, they were getting nowhere, he needed the right card in order to end this right now. He looked and the card he drew and smiled. "I'll activate Desperate Draw!"
"What's that do?", Denzi asked.
"I draw six cards.", Davion explained, "But, with the cards I drew, I have to defeat you this turn, or I lose!" Davion drew his six cards and smiled even more. "I only needed two cards out of this hand... I'll play my two Ookazis!"
Two bombs went off infront of Denzi, lowering his life points to 0.
The crowd cheered as Denzi got up from the blast.
"Heh, you did good.", Denzi said, then stepping off of the platform.
Davion, not having the time to say anything, stepped off of the platform as well.
The screen then displayed two new names, Ellise and Forte, the two dueled, Forte winning.
After which, two more names were displayed, Jackson and Maria, Jackson won that duel.
Then came two more names, Rouge and Sally, Rouge won.
Then... Shana vs Tony!
Shana, a girl looking 14 or 15, chose the Academy Duel Disk, while Tony chose the Dark World Model, both stepped up to the platform.
Xing was a little surprised that Tony showed up, and at his new appearance, Tony had looked more...fierce, than usual, and he was also now decked out in black clothing.
"Good luck.", Shana said.
"Good Duelists don't need luck...", Tony responded coldly.
The drew then drew their starting hands.
