It’s a bit grainy, but that’s exactly it.
Physical Appearance:
Jin is an angel; however, unlike other angels, his two wings are ethereal and appear at his will. He is a very muscular and is considered handsome by most of his peers. He stands at about 6’3 and weighs about 200 pounds, of pretty much all muscle. He has light brown hair that reaches just past his jaw line. He has hazel eyes. There is a tattoo on his back of a tornado; he also has a long scar across his chest reaching from the far left side of his breast down to the bottom right side of his right breast from a skirmish against Darkseid. There is a burn mark in the shape of a fire poker on his right upper arm from an interrogation he had done to him while under capture by an enemy force.
Personality:
Jin is very to the point and slow to anger, often resulting in the frustration of those around him., namely his coworkers. While normally dry and sarcastic, Jin is caring towards one very specific group of people, children. The only people Jin will break rules for are children, often leading to more discontent towards him. He often will bark out orders at the angels under his command; if they do not follow, he will instantly write them up for insubordination without hesitation. He has a tendency to go through many coworkers as not many can tolerate him.
Equipment:
- Utility Belt: The description of this can be seen in the picture shown above.
- Two Mark 19 Desert Eagles in .50 Action Express. He keeps both of them holstered in his belt as a precautionary measure. They are normal firearms and fire just like any other pistol. They do normal damage and have no special effect.
- One 4-foot long Katana: The handle is 6 inches long, making the rest of the sword 42 inches long. This sword was treated with a special metal that enables it to interact with other special swords, such as a Phase Blade or one of the two enchanted Gunblades. Unlike a normal sword, it won’t break from the stress of battle against one of those two.
-Laevatein boot Key- This is the key to his personal robot, Laevatein. It enables him to activate and pilot it, as well as most current mass-production models of staff robots. It will not work on older models, or other customs, however.
- Staff P.D.A.- This enables him to contact other staff and scan for others in the area. This is often places on the side of his belt
- A bag of dozens of aluminum coins: For use in the storm waltz technique
Miscellaneous Items:
None
Elemental Affinity:
Light
Special Abilities:
Raw Energy Manipulation Factor (R.E.M Factor.) – Through this ability Jin has access to all of his energy and mana, even if it is highly unprocessed energy that was used in a part of his body such as his toe. The major drawback to this ability is that he has to be extremely careful, if he leaves any less than 5% of his total energy capacity, then he will instantly crash and become unable to manipulate his energy again until he reaches 100% again in roughly 3 hours. He is able to move at 5%, and he can walk at 10%. Should he ever reach 0% he would die and not be able to respawn at all.
Flight – jin can fly in certain, but very specific conditions. He must not be in battles and has to be able to focus on where he is going and what is in front of him. He is able to fly by manifesting his energy, via the R.E.M. factor, into the form of angel wings on his back and is able to use them as airfoils to achieve flight. If he is hit in air the wings instantly dematerialize

Battle Style
Jin’s style revolves around the philosophy of quick, ruthless offense being the answer to any battle. He will defend if it is absolutely necessary, but he would rather fight straight on and force his opponent to keep up with him by dictating the pace of the battle himself. He rarely will show mercy in combat, despite being an angel and allegedly being obligated to preserve life. He does not become angered in combat and figures that if he is fighting, it must be an issue where he can use lethal force.
Companions:
Usually, a squad of his robot division’s elites will accompany him, but outside of combat that involves his branch of command (Giant Robots).
History:
Jin Hiwatari was created as the upgrade to Darkseid’s original design during Massive Dynamic’s R.E.M. project that occurred in the early beta test. The major difference was that Jin was an NPC. Jin was able to beat Darkseid, then called Takashi, in every trial, which eventually lead to Takashi’s leave and transformation into Darkseid. Back then, Takashi was incredibly carefree and did not realize the damage he had caused. When he did learn the damage he caused, he instantly began to shut out the world and began to look for a way to repent for what he thought was his sin.
When he discovered what Darkseid was doing in the underworld, he felt responsible for unleashing Darkseid and Terrageist on the world and joined the staff. He quickly ascended the ranks when his mechanical expertise was discovered by higher-ups. This expertise has led to him being named a sentinel. While he is technically a sentinel, his true interests lie in his own organization, MITHRIL. He is the current captain of the URZU squad searching for Darkseid. He has become known as one of the most conservative interpeters of law, seeing a world of black and white with no gray. He is one of the most-used sentinels due to his decisiveness; however, there is a large stem of controversy due to his rather ruthless tactics. He has been placed on probation from a few of these incidents, but he is still one of the most productive enforcers when necessary.
RP Example:
It was one of those days in the office. The buzzer sounded signaling an emergency requiring Knightmares, but no administrator was even near the situation making it open for sentinels; Jin stood up from his desk and walked out of his office. His Robot was still undergoing maintenance, so he would take a normal knightmare, a Sutherland.
He entered the hangar bay and started the Knightmare up. He jettisoned from the hangar and joined his men, who were ready and waiting, on the squad lines. These were his elite soldiers, and as such, their knightmares were upgraded with FLOAT systems. They ascended to the sky and flew out to the mountains with the rest of his men. They landed on the snowy mountainside as they surrounded a group of armed rebels who wore the symbol of Terrageist. He quickly opened the cockpit and stared down at the rebels who were obviously nervous, but they still attempted to save face by openly not lowering their arms.
“Surrender at once, or we will be forced to fire!” Jin bellowed out at the rebels.
“Not a chance in hell,” replied a heavily German accented voice from the rebels. It came from the commander who stood in the middle of his squad.
“Very well then…” Jin said as he turned and looked at the other eight Knightmares surrounding the rebels, “Fire on my mark…”
Jin raised his hand with five fingers raised.
“5…” One finger went down.
“4…” Then another.
“3…” And another.
“2…” Still more.
“1…” The final finger dropped.
“Stop, wait!” the commander yelled as he dropped his rifle as the rest of his men dropped their rifles.
For a split second, Jin considered letting them go, then he gazed upon the Terrageist logo one final time. He never would have let them go anyway. I they were normal criminals, perhaps, but these were part of ‘his fault’.
“Fire…” Jin signaled as he dropped his hand and watched at what occurred.
The guns fired multiple rounds at the rebels, causing a bloodbath as numerous bullets pierced the flesh of the rebels and caused them to all fall to the ground.
“Oh, you surrendered…mea culpa…”
