Ymaggion Character Name: Re-Tuul
Alias: Khaglessi
Age: 91
Gender: Male
Nationality: North America (Epsilon Project origins)
Rank: Beta
Strengths/Weaknesses: Re-Tuul is a superb melee combatant, with excellent strength, durability, and mobility on his side. While he is not armored like most, his skin is extremely tough and able to easily protect himself from normal weaponry. While he is not exceptionally fast, he has the ability to fly, giving him added range in combat. Due to the fact that Re-Tuul has no eyes, he can neither be blinded by special techniques at all, nor can his opponents strike at his eyes to blind them. However, Re-Tuul does not use magic often, preferring to use it only when in the air; rarely will he make use of it on the ground. He also does not engage in battles often, usually when he observes his potential opponents, he decides that it is a waste of time. Re-Tuul, having no true allies, prefers to work alone, even against multiple opponents. He is mocking and rude to his opponents, often making the mistake of not taking them seriously.
Clothing/Armor: Re-Tuul has no use for clothing or armor, and does not wear any. Re-Tuul will only don clothing when in need of a disguise, and usually wears a long, hooded cloak during such times.
Physical Appearance: Re-Tuul is a tall, lithe Khaglessi demon. His body is shaped much like a human’s, except his torso is much thinner, and his head is very much different, and his overall height is eight feet. His frame is thin, lean, and muscular, covered in a pure-white hide. Black markings cover each arm, with one marking running down the underside of the forearm, another wrapping around the upper arm at a diagonal angle, and another across the side of the shoulder. His throat is a reddish-orange color that extends from the collarbones up to the top of the neck. Instead of a normal, humanoid head, Re-Tuul’s head juts out forwards, like a eel’s, while his back ends in a sudden, angled ridge. Two small, short ridges run back along the head. Re-Tuul has no eyes whatsoever, yet can still see. His lips are a bright, full red, giving him a disturbing joker’s grin. His mouth hides numerous razor-sharp teeth. Re-Tuul has a pair of wings, the two long, thin white limbs holding numerous black feathers, creating a pair of wings with a tail plumage, much like that of a raven’s. He has a twelve-foot wingspan. When he does not have them spread, Re-Tuul’s wings cross over behind him and recede into his back quickly, disappearing completely.
Personality: Re-Tuul is mostly an apathetic monster, caring for neither side of the great struggles in morality. He does what he wants, when he wants. He cares only for one thing: revenge against R.D.. To this end, he will often ally himself with R.D.’s enemies. When dealing with enemies, he is often mocking and derisive, goading them into a battle they cannot possibly win. Re-Tuul has no honor—he’s not above using dirty tricks to succeed in his goal. He can be angered—however, this is difficult. The only one who can anger him easily is R.D.. Re-Tuul can be cunning and manipulative, having used others to accomplish goals in the past; Kalmar Uverth is a prominent victim of his manipulations.
Equipment:
Variable Greatsword – Re-Tuul’s main weapon, which is a trademark of the original nine Khaglessi, has the normal appearance of a very large, double-bladed greatsword of a dull gray, almost black color. The blades are a foot thick at its base, with the upper blade having a length of three and a half feet, and the lower blade having a length of three feet, with the last half-foot angling into a sharp, triangular point on each end. One side of the hilt is protected by a thin hand shield. It is made out of a composite alloy of mythril, arcanite, and orichalcum. This weapon is the main component to many of Re-Tuul’s techniques, and as such is able to change shape and function at Re-Tuul’s discretion.
Miscellaneous Items:
Elemental Affinity: Darkness
Special Abilities: Re-Tuul has several beneficial abilities due to his nature as a demon. His skin is very tough, acting like protective armor. He also has a strong regenerative ability, which allows him to heal his body shortly after damage unless being attacked repeatedly, which disrupts the regeneration. This regeneration takes the form of white and black particles being sucked out of the air onto Re-Tuul’s body, restoring his body. While Re-Tuul has no eyes, he has a form of spectral sight, allowing him to see with ease. As such, blinding effects of any kind will not work on Re-Tuul—while they may succeed in touching him, the effects would be useless. A special ability that was granted to him by Ziatoch is the control of periodic elements. With this ability, Re-Tuul is capable or rearranging the atomic structure of his weapon to change its shape at will, allowing him a multitude of weapons as well as the ability to repair it should it become damaged.
Transformations:
Destroyer Fusion – Using one of Ziatoch’s Orbs of Infinity, Re-Tuul can perform Destroyer Fusion, joining the Orb with his body to transform a second, much larger and far more powerful body, with his smaller, true form hidden within the larger one. When performing Destroyer Fusion, the Orb of Infinity lifts into the air and slams into his chest, sinking into his body through a distortion much like a portal. A massive torrent of black fog surrounds Re-Tuul’s body, which soon molds itself into the new body. In this form, Re-Tuul’s rank is raised to Alpha level.
The body remains in roughly the same build as Re-Tuul’s normal form, but is 35.1 meters in height, and weighs over 600 tons. The new body develops an ebon-black carapace over most of its form, and the skin beneath glows a malevolent red. His head lacks lips, revealing a mouth filled with three dozen silvery-white, razor-sharp teeth. A long, grey-colored split-forked tongue is hidden behind his teeth. His head also gains eyes in this form, five of them spread out along his skull above the lips, with one in the center and two alongside each side, spread evenly apart. These eyes can move independently of each other, making it difficult to stay out of the demon’s line of sight. The sides of his head grow a pair of curving horns, like a ram’s, each the color of midnight ivory.
Re-Tuul’s hands are now tipped with long, scythe-like blades over his fingers, twice the length of the fingers. The palms of his hands hide smaller mouths lined with razor-sharp teeth that can rend apart an enemy he grapples with. His elbows and knees are capped with a carapace covered in long, thin spikes, each of which are hollow and secrete a powerful, acidic toxin that can often be seen dripping out of the spikes. This fluid looks much like thick blood. The wings are no longer feathered, but have become long and draconic looking, with leathery membranes holding together the long limbs in each wing. The wingspan is slightly more than a half-mile long, each wing being a quarter-mile long in length. A spiked ridge runs down the length of his back and down the length of a newly-grown tail. This tail forks half-way down the length like a snake’s tongue, and each fork is covered in sharp barbs.
Re-Tuul’s new form changes his demeanor into that of a raging monster, often screaming and roaring. Despite this, Re-Tuul is still in complete control and has the rationality to speak to his opponents, though his voice has become distorted. Re-Tuul’s screeches and screams are so horrible-sounding that it will send those without protection to their knees in pain. The spikes on his knees and elbows gush out their acid when they slam against something, and the acid is more than capable of dissolving through metals. Re-Tuul’s speed is quite impressive in this form, reaching speeds of Mach Four. Re-Tuul’s mouth is capable of spitting Fuzen-Misu, and capable of breathing violet-green flames at his opponent. His usual weapon grows in proportion to his form after he performs Destroyer Fusion, and can still be reconfigured like normal. Any attacks he uses also grow in proportion to his size. When Re-Tuul performs Destroyer Fusion, the weather and climate of the region within one hundred miles of Re-Tuul begins to change drastically. The sun darkens as if an eclipse is occuring, the sky develops black, red-bordered blotches which spread until the sky is covered. The land and the nature within it die out around him, but will regenerate shortly after the removal of the new body. Despite the new darkness in the area, the world remains bright enough for people to see what’s going on.
If defeated, Re-Tuul can perform Fusion-Out, abandoning the massive body to break free and either escape, or deliver a surprise attack on a smaller opponent, or an opponent inhabiting a giant mecha. At this point, the giant body he leaves behind will detonate violently, often destroying the surrounding area. If Re-Tuul is not defeated, but performs Fusion-Out anyway, the body will be covered in darkness and will shrink rapidly until it disappears, leaving Re-Tuul’s true body behind.

Battle Style: Re-Tuul, before even engaging in battle, will often perch himself high upon a tall ledge, such as a building or stone pillar, and watch his intended target like a vulture, studying him/her to see if the battle will even be needed. He will wait for the most opportune moment to attack, and the first strike will always be swift and brutal. As the fight progresses, he attacks viciously with claw swipes or attacks with whatever configuration his weapon happens to be in. He is very adept with aerial battle, able to make pinpoint strikes when moving, against moving opponents, with long-range techniques. He is ruthless, and will do whatever it takes to win.
Companions: Re-Tuul currently has a tentative alliance with the two Mirror-Mes, Liatas Lionheart and Perrin Valtheran, as well as the glitched character data, Ferus Flayon. Despite Ziatoch’s ever-growing influence in Ymaggion, the Khaglessi Patriarch is no longer associated with Ziatoch.
History: The Khaglessi were created from an experiment that genetically spliced human DNA with that of fossilized demon DNA, begun by the infamous Dr. Anstine. The fossilized DNA belonged to an ancient race of demons that warred with the Za-Fuzen, and were wiped out over the course of the battles. The fruit of the experiment were nine half-human demon hybrids, each with the same basic shape. Re-Tuul was among these nine creatures, and it was he who figured out how to escape the confines of the Canadian military and research compound in Quebec. The nine Khaglessi wandered the world, wreaking havoc wherever they went. This continued for several dozen years, until at one point they murdered one girl named Mesia Kateran. This event would spark a bitter hatred of the Khaglessi in one Loal Kateran, who hunted the Khaglessi and became known as the Rising Dragon in the process. The Rising Dragon tracked the Khaglessi to an island filled with ruins, a place called Persior. Here, he engaged the immature Khaglessi in combat, and slew eight of them and scarred the last—Re-Tuul—before being attacked by a Ruinsman Beast. Injured and distraught, Re-Tuul fled the island, now fueled by the thought of revenge.
His powers soon matured, making him an extremely dangerous threat. He quickly learned of the reason why the Rising Dragon killed his brothers—the girl they had killed was his sister. Shortly after learning this, Re-Tuul came across a scouting party of demons, sent from another world. Re-Tuul took delight in slaughtering them when they attacked, leaving one demon alive. This demon called itself a minion of Ziatoch, and after some discussion with the demon, Re-Tuul slew the creature and took is scale of Ziatoch, and used it to go to the world Ziatoch Himself currently resided. The Khaglessi survivor made a deal with Ziatoch, and was granted even more power, including that of regeneration, and the ability to never permanently die, unless killed in a nether realm where the dead reside. Re-Tuul then began working for Ziatoch, preparing Genesis for His arrival.
Re-Tuul soon learned of the Rising Dragon’s newfound affliction of amnesia, and sought him out. He was soon assaulted by a Reaverbot sent by Mega Man Juno, a surviving Ancient. The battle ended in a stalemate, but Re-Tuul was able to make contact with R.D., as the Rising Dragon was now called, and threaten him before fleeing. Re-Tuul prepared the way for Ziatoch to make His emergence, while keeping an eye on R.D., eventually learning of his acquisition of Lumiya, the greatest of the Seven Perfect Weapons. When the Seven Beasts were released, Re-Tuul found himself given a mission: to take the essence of Ziatoch and find a suitable host for it. In Europe, he encountered a foreign exchange student named Michael, who had mortally wounded during the initial assault; he had been crushed by a transformed Lee. Re-Tuul used the essence on Michael, turning him into a flawed by extremely powerful, not to mention extremely dangerous, Guise.
Re-Tuul, along with Akuma, observed R.D. and Matt Willard’s battle against Rugal Bernstein, who had acquired the powers of a separate Akuma. Re-Tuul later left and encountered Cora, who he has some sort of past with, one that apparently went sour. Re-Tuul would later hire three human mercenaries, Atha, Shael, and Crow, and sent them to locate the Pillars of Dawn, which had recently appeared in response to the approaching threat of Ziatoch. When they found the second of the Pillars on the island of Kattelox, Re-Tuul engaged in a brief battle against Mega Man Juno, Mega Man Trigger, and Kouken. Despite being outmatched by supposedly superior opponents, Re-Tuul easily held his ground against three, even after Juno and Kouken merged to become Saikou.
Re-Tuul fled, and later came across a corrupted demon hunter named Kalmar Uverth. Recognizing the Za-Fuzen soul that corrupted the man and realizing his vast power, Re-Tuul tricked Kalmar into fighting R.D., in hopes that Kalmar would slay R.D. and end the bitter rivalry between him and the amnesiac. Soon, however, Ziatoch reached Genesis’ vicinity, in time for NightShade to call the Seven Beasts in for a meeting. Re-Tuul lured Mega Man Juno into a battle and took him to Australia, where the Ancient would meet Ziatoch, shortly before the entity secured one of the Core Energies of Genesis and destroyed the entire continent of Australia, using the remains to form Shayol Ghul. After this, Re-Tuul was assigned the task of planting the Portal Seeds needed for Genesis’s takeover after the fall of NightShade. To do this, he needed to charge the seeds, and picked a fight with Juno’s army to do it. The energy released by the transformed state of Reckoning charged the Portal Seeds, and Re-Tuul went to sow the future chaos.
During his sowing, Re-Tuul encountered Namonai and Cyrus Nemesis, and attempted to make an alliance between them and Ziatoch. Unfortunately, the negotiation was interrupted by the arrival of Meta and Shujou, the Za-Fuzen King. Due to the genetic material that makes of a Khaglessi, the Za-Fuzen and the Khaglessi were bitter enemies, and Re-Tuul soon left when Meta and Namonai engaged in battle. Eventually, he confronted R.D. as he tried to leave Genesis with Matt Willard and company, but was prevented by Matt from stopping their escape. Later, he would discover R.D. and Matt’s return, quite by accident—Re-Tuul was nearly run over by Matt’s gigantic flying shotgun as they attempted to take Alasea to the Pillar of Dawn. He reported their whereabouts, then was sent by Daemonus to the Quebec research compound that he himself had been created that.
Upon arrival, Re-Tuul created a time dilation field around the base, speeding up time there. Within the barrier, years passed, while he and Dr. Anstine created a new generation of Khaglessi. Eventually, their whereabouts were discovered by the Daughters of Dawn, who alerted NightShade’s minions, and Carnax moved in to disrupt Ziatoch’s plans. As the Khaglessi awakened, Re-Tuul sent them to Paradise Lost and used an exceptionally powerful Orb of Infinity at this point, and performed Destroyer Fusion. Re-Tuul, now in a gigantic new form, engaged Carnax in combat, and held his own against Carnax and his resurrected minions: Lee, Draco, Houka, and Legion. The battle was brief, however, as an unknown event that was felt across Genesis caused him to flee the battle and return to Shayol Ghul, where Re-Tuul and Daemonus quickly reactivated the converted Ancient Mother Unit, Eon.
When R.D. left on his second journey with Matt, Re-Tuul vowed not to let him get away this time, and traveled with Malvettix in pursuit of the Rising Dragon. The Khaglessi Patriarch engaged R.D. in numerous battles, which culminated in a battle where Re-Tuul soundly defeated R.D., allowing Daemonus to use R.D. and his initial Super Mechanoid, Omega, as a weapon against NightShade’s forces up until Matt himself wielded KishouDoragon and rescued R.D. from his clutches. Re-Tuul would continue to fight against NightShade’s forces, as well as the heroes of Genesis, up until he kidnapped Alasea to spark one last fight between R.D., a battle to decide things once and for all. The battle unlocked the Sixth Cipher on Lumiya, and the two battled atop the City of White Metal, Meta’s personal base. Re-Tuul used an Orb of Infinity during this battle, prompting R.D. to initiate Fusion with Tamaran and eventually form KishouDoragon. The resulting battle nearly destroyed the City of White Metal, and while Re-Tuul nearly defeated R.D., the demon hybrid forgot that the City, which had origins and properties from a death netherworld of the Nightmare Realm, was a place he could be permanently killed in. During a final bout of rage, R.D. overcame Re-Tuul and finally destroyed him, crushing the Orb of Infinity within the demon and permanently killing him in the Beta Test.
Over time, as Ymaggion was instigated, a resurrected and regenerating Re-Tuul was found by the Staff. Realizing the potential danger, Re-Tuul’s regenerating form was sealed within Hell’s Vault, deep in the abandoned mines of Zailleon. It wasn’t until Samanosuke tampered with the Vault’s systems, allowing a pair of Mirror-Mes and one glitched character data to enter and free a number of minions Ziatoch had used, including Re-Tuul. Now fully regenerated, Re-Tuul spoke to Liatas and learned of the rivalry between her and one Rua Dragonheart. Realizing who Rua was, Re-Tuul allied himself with Ferus, Liatas, and Perrin, and has been traveling with them in the shadows ever since, waiting for the perfect time to strike against Rua and renew their bitter feud.
RP Example: Behind the Apocalyptic Beast, the chains were already beginning to dissolve as the Khaglessi freed themselves, aided by Re-Tuul's power gained through his link to Ziatoch. Unseen to everyone but Re-Tuul, the Khaglessi survivor gathered the dark power of the Destroyer and rent apart Carnax's workings. As they moved, each one seemed to disappear into thin air, placed into a special realm not unlike the Blood Beach, where Carnax could no longer touch them. The Khaglessi were safely hidden in Paradise Lost.
Re-Tuul spread his arms out wide and laughed maniacally. The Light of the Soul spread out around him, and he disappeared in a flash of light.
The Khaglessi found himself in a massive, broken, and disused hanger along the base of a massive elevator shaft. Atop a crude altar in the middle of the hanger was a large sphere, made of a strange, translucent material. Its depths were obscured from concentrated darkness, like writhing smoke. The Khaglessi swiftly approached the Orb of Infinity, and a bloody red light appeared in its center. Re-Tuul reached for the Orb with both hands and lifted it from its dias, and the entire land shuddered.
As darkness blanketed the room, the demon thought, Now they'll see just what power I can wield.
Outside, the doors to the elevator shaft rumbled as they opened, and the air grew ominous. A trembling, sonorous drone echoed from the darkened depths: Thwump. Thwump. Thwump. The demons began to flee from the research base, while the humans, freed from Carnax's spell, fled inside. The sky, so blue and bright that day, was destroyed.
Like a plague spreading across healthy flesh, black spots bordered by red flame appeared across that blue surface and then spread like a fire washing through old paper. Purple-green lightning erupted from thin air, lancing out to carve gouges through the plains. The Sun died. The world went dark and dim, but still remained bright enough for all to see as clearly as they had just a moment before.
And after a few brief moments, something gigantic erupted from the darkness of the shaft. The land died under its shadow, and the ground shook as it landed, and turned to face Carnax.
Re-Tuul no longer was the smooth white-and-black creature he had been created to be. Now he was a true monster. His height equaled that of Carnax's true form, and his body was covered in black, armor-like hide that glowed red beneath. His head was a lipless thing that was filled with three dozen prominent and very sharp silver-crimson teeth; two curving rams horns the colour of midnight ivory jutted out from just above and behind where the twisted smile of the creature's mouth ended, right in line with the five black eyes with red irises that ran above the sharp teeth. His body was still slim and lithe, but his hands ended with scythe-like claws and his elbows and knees had sprouted needle-spikes that dripped a thick, bloody liquid. At the rear partitions a tail had sprouted, a forked thing like a snakes tongue that ran more needle-spiked all across the ridge and along the spine of the back. Immense, flapping wings akin to those of a dragon's curled across a quarter-mile portion of the sky. Large and dark enough to block out the sun--if there were still such a thing anymore.
Five eyes independently searched the air, then centered on Carnax. A horrible squeal rent the air and sent all to their knees in pain and horror. Violet-green flames licked out from between the teeth of the awakened abomination, hungrily scorching the sky as it sped for Carnax.
Hell on Earth took new forms.
