Kero bit her lower lip in frustration, torn between the option of keeping the beginnings of a new acquaintance and keeping her own job and her husband's. Her mind was racing as they exited the elevator and began moving toward the exit. Kero finally decided the method of her operation as the four of them reached the main lobby of the library. Speedily, she composed a personal message to Alasea.
Miss Dagenais, I regret to inform you that the staff has issued a warrant for your arrest or termination. Naturally, Tora and I are not exempt from this order. However, while it would be under direct compliance with our duty to simply bring you in as normal, I don't believe this is right. Tora and I are completely unarmed. Most of our magics are attached to our weapons or armor. Take the advantage: run. I'll be forwarding this to Rua as well. Look for a cluster of NPCs or players and dash. We won't be able to follow.
Best of luck, Kero Midorikawa

Alasea's personal message inbox made a chiming noise, signaling the arrival of another message. She mentally accessed it and opened it up, and quickly scanned through the message.
For a moment, Alasea felt her heart stop.
A moment later, beside her, Rua nearly tripped. His eyes narrowed dangerously, and his lips thinned into a grimace. His eyes darted to the side, and met her's. She gave him a slight nod, and reached over to take his hand. He looked forward at Tora and Kero's backs even as the doors opened to allow them to exit the library. Almost immediately the sounds of busy city life returned as players and NPCs milled about the main plaza, crossing to and from the rest of the city across the streets.
Rua squeezed Alasea's hand reassuringly, signaling her the time to move. He suddenly bolted, eliciting a sharp cry of surprise from Alasea as they took off, her hand still in his. Rua's body bumped Tora's slightly as they took off, no doubt staggering the man. The two pumped their legs hard as they dashed towards the empty street, towards one of the intersections.

Tora let out a roar of surprise as Rua smashed into him from behind, pushing him to the side and forcing him to grab onto an unlucky NPC for balance. His hand instinctively flew to his back for one of his Katanas, but all that was found was air. By the time the disorientation had released itself, Rua and Alasea were nowhere to be seen.
The large asian man shut his eyes in frustration, running a hand through his hair as he tried to think. His chain of thought though was cut off when he felt the comforting arm of his wife on his waist. Exhaling quietly, he opened is eyes and looked at Kero grimly. She returned the look, but there seemed to be a slight spark of happiness in her eyes. Tora spoke, "You wanted them to get away, didn't you?"
Kero slid next to Tora and placed the side of her head on his body while using her arm on his waist to push him into a walk with her. "What I wanted or what you wanted doesn't matter anymore, they escaped, and we'll have to report it, but there was nothing we could have done."
Eyes still filled with a sort of playful suspicion, Tora replied, his voice now visibly lighter, "You're right." Taking his own arm and putting it around Kero's side, Tora began to steer the two of them away from the library, a weight was definitely lifted.
