"Kite, seriously, that doesn't even hold water," Samus said, frowning. "This is a computer game, for god's sake, just go out and purchase a new one. Measurements and fittings aren't needed here, creation is instantaneous, and you've got plenty of money to get one being game staff here."

"Fine, whatever, i'm sure finance will love when I send them the invoice listing it as a business expense and want reimbursed. Better yet, i'll tell them that it's your fault. Then you can deal with the asshat Crebs and his army of number trolls. After all, why should I pay for a new tux, when I have a good one, that the 'law' says I can't have it because they don't like how I handled a situation? After all, it's my cash i'd be wasting because of you. I'm pretty sure that can be a legitimate claim to finance, but i'd sure be interested in finding out." Kite said.
If there was ANYTHING that caused problems at the office, it was the finance department. Crebs led the department with a mind of lead and a tempter of dynamite. If something was not done his exact way, he would be down your back for weeks about correcting it. It didn't help that 98% of the department staff were sadists that delighted in watching you squirm as they hounded you endlessly. If you got called down there people wouldn't see you for hours because of the lectures you would get about how numbers 'create reality'. He knew Samus had issues in the past with them like every other admin. He was banking on it being enough for her to give him the tux.

Samus rolled her eyes. Who does he think I am? she thought sourly. "It's a game, Kite. We are in a computer game. There's no point in trying to get Crebs into this, since he's only into the physical side of things, outside of the game. But now that you've mentioned it," Samus said, grinning, "I'll be sure to let him know you think of him as an asshat. I'm sure he'll be pleased."

"Hell, you can tell him, I really don't give a shit's value. All I need is that tux, you can even have one of your goons just grab it for me, but I need it right now," Kite said as he was trying to get to the point. She was stalling.

An angel strode around a corner carrying a tuxedo on a hangar, and Cortana spoke, "We've had the tuxedo from your room perfectly copied in design. However, the orginal will have to stay with us for investigation purposes. If you have any problems with it you can go to the third floor and bring it back to them, and they will have it changed to your liking free of charge."

Kite was cursing every god except Kratos in his head. After he took the suit and walked off without a complaint audible; he had an excellent idea.
"Exact replica..."
Kite checked over the suit and found the location tracer as well as the audio microphone, which he promptly left next to a speaker inside and elevator. He was about to pull possibly his stupidest heist ever, break into his own office. It would be easy, all he would need is to grab one of the inspector's uniforms from the supply room, and he could in theory walk right in. Just to be sure, he checked over the suit again and found another tracer, then it hit him. The staff had placed respawing tracers on the tuxedo. He may not be heard, but he could still be found by anyone. It was here he made a choice; he would have to lay low for a day or two until the investigation was over.
OOC: Okay, so I figure wrap this thread up quick and have the fake Gahm give the order directly after this. So, one final round of posts should bring this thread to closure.

Samus sighed and shook her head. She was thankful that Kite was now out of her hair, allowing her to concentrate on other things. Sitting back down at her chair, Samus looked at the digital representation of Cortana displayed in the terminal's monitor. "Has the player search turned up anything on Dragonheart?" she asked.

"Nothing yet," Cortana replied ruefully. "Dragonheart has a tendency to evade the scanners for some reason. Well, that and there is millions of players to scan. I'm afraid this one will take some time." Cortana paused for a moment and date streamed through her body at a doubled rate for a brief second as she processed a large command. "Also, Kite interrupted us at a pesky time. I'll need your direct authorization code to activate the Wall. No administrator has ever given the order for a quarantine of that scale, and as an AI I do not have clearance to do it."

Samus frowned. She hesitated at giving the command; that could easily backfire. Every Administrator would be notified, including Gahm. There'd be a lot of explaining to do, but it'd be necessary. If someone was hacking the gaming programming in-game, there was a serious threat going on. It had to be done.
Sighing, the blond-haired Administrator turned the seat around and put in a 30-character, case-sensitive access code made up of various letters, numbers, and symbols, before hitting the enter key to initiate the code's activation, which would cause a mass-teleport of any player characters out of the region. The entire system would lag, as well as send out a system notice as the Great Wall's dormant security systems were finally activated.

Cortana gave a slight smile as she watched the effects take place, those bound to the system wouldn't feel it, time would just skip a second or two as the brilliant coding sealed everything back up. "That's done then," Cortana muttered as she processed more commands. "Well, now that there's some peace and quiet I can finally bring you up to speed on everything. The hunt isn't over yet unfortunately; we can't just leave the Great Wall up forever. John and I harvested enough information to have figured out roughly our next move. I fear we haven't much time to lose... something else happened to the Chief after he got hit. I'm still figuring it out but for now it shouldn't hold too much of an issue. Just some more incentive I suppose.
"Anyways, it's a lot of information, it would probably be best if I just uploaded it telepathically. There's no sense in wasting time, and you'll need to know everything." Cortana sighed and put a hand to her head. "I apologize if I sound like I'm ordering; I don't have status to do so. However, that thing just took out one of the highest ranking administrators in one shot, and practically mauled a Beta tester who's records that we have indicate he's experienced plenty of different battle. The quarantine won't hold that thing in if it wants out, and something needs to be done."

"I know, I understand your urgency. Go ahead and upload the information into my character data. Update the Chozo suit's database while you're at it," Samus said, leaning back in her chair while taking out a pair of wires that ended in nodes, and attached both to her temples. "This monster is a concern. The Chief's notorious for beating the odds, and Dragonheart... well, we know his story. Anything that can take him out is something we need to be ready for."
Once the nodes were in place, Samus entered a few commands into the terminal to link her neural pathways to allow the data transfer. "Once that's done, I want you to keep an eye on the Master Chief, and figure out what's wrong with him. Also, alert the Administrators that are cleared by the investigation and let them know why the Quarantine is in effect," she ordered as she leaned back once more. "Also, if the sentinels manage to track down Dragonheart, interrogate him in my place. I want to know exactly what he thinks about the situation."

Cortana's figure nodded and said soothingly, "Try and relax, it's a lot of data to take in at once." A moment later Cortana's body released a pulsing blue wave as she initiated the upload. "Approximate upload time is roughly four hours." "
The figure of Cortana dissapeared from the screen to go update the Nintendo Administrator's suit as she had requested. When all her tasks were complete she would proceed to wait on the Master Chief to regain complete consciousness whilst figuring out what truly had happened to him. Both the Master Chief and Cortana would leave as soon as possible.

Samus closed her eyes and relaxed as the information was downloaded into her brain. Now in a semi-unconscious state, Samus sorted through the data and examined it as it, going over the various actions Cortana and the Master Chief went through; including inviting Rua and Alasea on the hike, Cortana's teasing of Rua, the discussion of the myth site, as well as the revealed stolen technology. She took into account both the overheard discussion between Rua and Kite, and frowned when she heard Kite mention his search for Tsual. That could get ugly; Tsual had gone missing shortly after Kuro's resurrection, and she hadn't heard from him since. She moved on, to the discovery of the construct, and the further discovery of the door. She frowned at that. Its actions and capabilities astounded her; nothing should be able to do that normally in the game system, but this A.I. did.
The data Cortana managed to glean from the A.I. itself would be valuable in creating the proper weapon programs needed to combat it. She'd have to program her suit to lock out remote A.I.'s to prevent it from compromising the armor; she never had managed to fully block the effects of a Rezbit virus, and this A.I. seemed to be much more advanced than the Rezbit virus. Next on her interest was Kasdim-Ur, a name which she recognized but didn't know much about. Luckily the name was in the NPC Database; she could find out what the staff knew of him soon enough. She stored that tidbit away for later. The book that Rua had found caused her to nearly jump in alarm. It was one of a set and all copies were thought to have been moved out of all ruins and bookstores, so that they may be kept in the libraries, never to be removed. There was one reason why she was worried about Rua finding the book, and was only slightly relieved when she realized that the book itself had been destroyed by some external force. Even still, it was something to put her on alert should she find him again.
Tsindary was her main concern. The creature was very much a golem, but there seemed to be more to it. The creature was very likely to have been connected to the citadel's own computer systems, which would explain its power. She quickly noted the various effects that it had deployed, realizing all of them were from artifacts that the monster had undoubtedly assimilated into its form. The A.I. must have been supplementing it somehow. She would have to bring all of her firepower with her should she encounter the monster; looked like she'd be submerging the Gravity Suit into the Phazon batch once more to corrupt it and turn it into the Phazon Suit. And pray she'd find a source of Phazon where she was at when she finally did combat the monster.
As the data transfer completed, she roused herself and stretched. The lights to her room were dimmed, and Cortana absent from her personal system. Rubbing sleep out of her eyes, she sat back down and activated the Phazon infusion, causing the tank holding the Gravity Suit to quickly fill with the poisonous blue substance, that deadly mutagen that threatened to corrupt any and all life it couldn't kill. Slowly it bled away back into its tank, leaving a sinister black armor suit behind. She ran a cleaning program on it to remove the residue traces from it, then opened up the NPC Database and entered Kasdim-Ur's name into it.
After fifteen minutes of searching, she found one result. Kasdim-Ur itself was an alias, really; the NPC's name was Chaz'rah. Leader of a cult situated in Cher-Plek, and no longer human. She frowned. He was a lich? That won't end well; that would give him all sorts of untold power. The cult itself wasn't too large, but it was growing in strength. And he had been invited to the Citadel by an Eridanus Psi? It was her best lead. She activated the program to prep her Gunship for flight. She shut down and locked down the systems, and equipped the Phazon Suit. Striding out the door, she locked down her office and proceeded to the launch pad where her gunship awaited.
Minutes later, the orange vehicle rocketed out of the Core, and made a beeline for Cher-Plek. One way or another, she was going to get to the bottom of this.
