Name of Technique: Rapid-fire
Creator of the Technique: No originator
Type of Technique: Projectile
Character Rank: Gamma
Rank of Technique: Delta
Element of Technique: Non-elemental
Effects of Technique: The Colonel sets his electro-handgun to rapid simply by turning a small switch on the side of the gun, and fires a barrage of laser shots at his foe(s). The firing speed is approximately 16 lasers per second. As the lasers are extremely fast, it is very difficult to dodge them, thus the best way to avoid taking damage is teleportation. The lasers are rather powerful—powerful enough to blast through about a quarter inch of solid titanium.
This setting can only be used for about one and half minutes straight, as chronic use will result in the weapon over-heating, rendering it useless until it is repaired.
How acquired: Learned in USMC basic training
RP Example: Benjamin drew his electro-handgun from its holster, and held it tight in his right hand. He placed his left palm under the bottom of the gun handle, and then took aim at the moving target, which was a good hundred feet away. He fired a couple times, but missed. He couldn’t focus. He was too dang tired to think. “Meh.” He let out.
Col. Jessup lifted his gun, and turned a small switch on the left side of the firearm, and then aimed at the target that kept moving back and forth. He pulled and held the trigger, and the gun started firing about six-teen lasers per second. His arms jolted slightly as he made a trail of lasers as he quickly worked the barrel toward the target. He released the trigger once he had destroyed the target, and switched the electro-handgun back to single-shots, and then holstered his firearm.
Name of Technique: Burning Blade
Creator of the Technique: No originator
Type of Technique: Melee
Character Rank: Gamma
Rank of Technique: Delta
Element of Technique: Fire
Effects of Technique: Burning Blade is quite simple. By pressing a button on the hilt of the energy sword, the beam blade becomes engulfed by blue fire. This can be used a nearly infinite amount of times, and for exceedingly long periods of time. The only problem with this technique is that Col. Jessup is not immune to the fire, as such he can sustain damage if the fire is somehow manipulated to attack him, or the weapon malfunctions causing the flames to erupt from the blade, etcetera.
How acquired: Learned in USMC basic training.
RP Example: Col. Jessup stared upon the beast before him with his hand tightly gripping the hilt of his energy sword. His opponent was a truly hideous creature; it had blue skin and red eyes. The beast had a relatively human shape to it, but it had one arm that nearly the size of its whole body. The opposite arm laced with spikes, and its mouth appeared to be sewn shut. The monster stood at nearly 15-feet tall, easily towering over the Colonel.
“This should prove interesting.” Benjamin said as he drew his sword, and quickly got into a ready stance.
The beast let out a growl as it glared down at Ben, and then charged toward him, and attempted to smash him with his giant deformed arm.
Jessup jumped out of the way while pressing a small button on the hilt of his weapon, which caused blue flames to surround the energy blade. He leapt up at the beast, and slashed it right across the chest.
The monster tried to cry out in pain, but was unable to open its mouth. The monster quickly smacked the Colonel into a tree using its bigger arm, and then let out a growl as it scowled over at Jessup.
Col. Jessup shook his head a bit to bring himself out his light daze. “I don’t think I’m going to be able to kill this thing with brute force.” He thought aloud. He then realized where the beast had knocked him to, and then looked upward. The tree was easily 100-feet tall, more than large enough to crush that monster. He stabbed his weapon into the tree, lighting it on fire. He took the heat until the flames had nearly reached the top, and then pulled his energy blade out of the tree, and sliced right through it. Quickly, he jumped out of the tree, and watched as the burning timber fell down on the beast. If the weight of the tree didn’t kill it, the fire would, just as Benjamin had planned.
Name of Technique: After Slash
Creator of the Technique: Col. Jessup
Type of Technique: Melee
Character Rank: Gamma
Rank of Technique: Delta
Element of Technique: Non-elemental
Effects of Technique: Benjamin Jessup amps up his speed, using a certain amount of energy, and dashes pass his target at close to the speed of sound, and then slashes the target with his energy sword. It takes a good 3-seconds, or however long it takes him to sheath his sword, before one can even tell that the target was slashed. Usually the sheer speed and force of the attack is enough to slice through nearly an inch of titanium.
How acquired: Developed after he was given his metal/robotic parts in a training session he was having with Lt. Bridges.
RP Example: Benjamin stood surrounded by goblin-like creatures. It seemed as though the Cyborg Marine had accidentally entered their turf. He tried to explain to them that he didn’t realize they occupied that area, but the little monsters didn’t seem to understand his language. “Well, guess this means a fight.” The Colonel said just before he drew his energy sword.
The small goblin-ish creatures readied their daggers, and started to circle Col. Jessup. One of the monsters jumped the gun, and charged in to attack.
Benjamin reacted quickly, and dashed at the little beast at close to the speed of sound, and sliced right through it with his sword. He came to a halt outside the circle, and then sheathed his weapon—it was then that the goblin-like creature split in half.
