"Rum. Five barrels, aye?" Fitz said. Despite the outrageous amount, he seemed dead serious about it.

"Sorry, the rum is gone." Morph replied in a deadly serious manner, even though he knew he had a small barrel of rum somewhere, far far away.

Fitz merely twitched. Morph knew damn well what was coming, and so did everyone else, probably. "Whyiztherumgone?" He asked in a hurry, his arms spread out, and his bottom lip twitching.

"Because Merlin took it and changed it into root beer." Morph said. "And while I don't exactly know what root beer is, I know damn well I am gonna get him to pay for it."

Rua snorted with laughter. "Merlin changed it to root beer?" he said, trying to stifle his laughter.

Morph shrugged. "Apparently. He said he was trying to create a life elixer or something, but I think he was really just trying to get some free, high-alcohol booze."

Rua burst out laughing, unable to continue.
Alasea smiled and explained. "Morph, root beer has no actual alcohol in it. It's little more than a uniquely-flavored soda."

"Oh." Morph said. Then he frowned. "Oh?" He said. "Good, next time I get to DS' little bar, I'll just ask for that. If it tastes like elephant wee, though, I think I'll just go with Dr. Pepper. Anyways, do you two want anything?"

"I'll have some burgers, if you have any," Rua said. Alasea frowned at him.
"Why is it always burgers with you? Can't you eat something different?" she scolded.
"I eat plenty of different things! Just... when you're cooking them," Rua admitted.
"Oh," Alasea squeaked, a faint blush tainting her cheeks, "But still, you need to find something else to eat!"

"If you want to, I got sushi." Morph said. "With norse salmon."

"Burgers are fine with me," Rua said adamantly.
Alasea sighed. "There's just no winning against you, is there?" she asked.
"Sure there is," Rua said, "We just can't talk about it here--OW!"
Rua suddenly found himself hopping on one foot, clutching his shin where he was kicked. A very red-faced Alasea glared embarassedly at the swordsman. She turned to Morph and said, "I'd love to try the salmon."

"Hehe." Morph said. "Well then, salmon-sushi it is." He said, going into the back of the store for the third time today. In a minute, he returned with a large silver platter with a dozen or two sushi rolls on it.
"There you go, misir 'n' milady." He said, putting the platter elegantly on a small table. "Also," he added, "if Rua really only not eats burgers when you are cooking, then I must say I'd love to try it out sometime."

"Flattery will get you nowhere," Alasea said lightly, "Um... I didn't realize that norse salmon was sushi. I can't have sushi, I tend to get sick from it."
Rua finally settled down from his injury. "I still think that's because of our fight with the Sea Serpent of Hydro's," he said.

"Oh." Morph said. "Oh well." He stuffed the silver platter into Fitz's hands, who was still standing there, mentally whining over rum.
"Burgers then?" He asked, half-sarcastically, half-seriously.

Rua opened his mouth and said--
"No."
Rua blinked, and turned to Alasea. She was giving him a determined look, with her hands placed on her hips. Never a good sign.
"But--"
"You will be having pasta," Alasea said seriously.
"No, I'd rather have a cheeseburger"
"But you will be having pasta."
The two of them stared at each other, and Rua finally sighed.
"Pasta it is, then," he muttered. Alasea smiled sunnily at him.
