"It can't be helped, I guess," Sarah said, frowning. Shrugging her jacket off, revealing a light-blue shirt underneath, the young woman sat down on a chair across from the two of them. "Any idea when the others are going to show?" she asked.

"No, I put in a call to Scept, but I think he's still a little miffed after the Christmas party, so he didn't respond. Shade hasn't been heard from in like a week," Jordan said.
He finally stepped into the light, revealing a zip-up hoody with a Foo Fighters logo on it complete with some slim and straight jeans, studded belt, and a pair of Black Chuck Taylor's. His hair was somehow in perfect shape though as it draped down to his shoulders in every spot except his face.
"Did he ask for anyone besides those names and us?"

John raised an eyebrow when Scept was brought up. The boy had a long history of disliking the staff and the rules, and Kite was the one to be generally conflicted with. "Mr. Stalis, you do know the Scept is in a coma, and that it is system error that has put him in it, correct?"

"Scept's as mistrustful of us as we are of Kateran," Sarah said, "So why try to drag him into this mess? He blames us for what happened to him. Probably you most of all," gesturing to Jordan, "Since you were in the Epsilon Project like he was."

"If there's anything i'm sick of, it's being a god damn scapegoat for everyone's problems. He can blame me all he wants, but it's not my damn fault he's a fricken vegetable," Kite said in a rather cold tone,"Quite frankly, I have no problem trusting Kateran myself. He never really has meant to cause any damage, but everyone seems to give him hell anyways."

As if on que, the doctor stepped out of Ven's operating room, showing relief and exhaustion on his face. "He's finally awake. Visitors are now allowed in to visit him." OOC: Let's just go with this John nodded to the doctor, glad that the conversation would be cut short. Tension was always with the staff these days, mostly with Jordan, but nevertheless, it was best that they not talk about things while their personal biases were present.

Jordan was in a cooldown stage as he quietly entered the room,"I have to admit, i'm surprised. Who the hell decides to shoot a gamer?"

"That's what I'd like to know."
Despite the soft tone in his voice, Sora's alter ego sure everyone heard as they entered.
The teenager sighed, brushing his hands through his brown hair, now thouroughly tangled and out of order due to the several hours of bedrest.
"Sorry to bug you all like this, this kind of stuff always seems to happen to me." The administrator smiled, then turned to the door as they all walked in.
"Normally, I'd jsut tell Gahm I'd be absent from the saff for a while...but this time...I dunno. I think the shooting may have something to do with the Arumon cases we've been having recently."

"Arumon?" Sarah asked, incredulous as she stepped through the doorway while brushing wet hair over her shoulder, "What the hell did you see that made you think of Program 000?"

"That guy...right before he shot me, he mentioned a knight. It could just be a codename for like, a city gang member or something, but I just found it a bit too much of a cooincidence, what with Arumon erupting still fairly recently and now this." Ven shuddered a bit as he collected his thought of the would-be murderer, wishing to block them out, despite the relevence to discussion.

Sarah shivered herself. The thought of what Program 000--Arumon--was doing was causing shockwaves throughout the entire game. First Dragonheart was defeated, then Uverth--two of the most dangerous beta testers--and Arumon was still running around unchecked. "Alright, you've got me there. But did you see or hear anything that made you think it was Arumon, besides the title of knight?"

"Errrrrrrr..." Ven racked his head for a moment, trying to concentrate. He was still barely concious, and it was obviously taking all of his mental capabilities to recall back on the shooting.
"...Yeah, I think so. The first thing he said was 'it's not a game anymore'" Ven smiled for a second, trying, although most likely effortlessly, to lighten the mood; "How more cliche can you get, right? Seriously though...both mentions of a game and a knight seemed pretty odd, which is why I asked the doctors to bring everyone here earlier..." The admin looked around the small room, seemingly not pleased with the turnout, despite the majority there.
"...Did Gahm not come? I had asked the doctors to give some information about the guy who I met in the alley...I was hoping he had found something."

"His plane doesn't leave at least for another hour if he comes. So sadly enough he isn't going to be here for a long time if he's not on that plane." Kite said,"Does anyone else find it a little odd that an NPC program like Arumon could gain access to human thugs?"

John stood silently in the corner of the room, pondering what would happen next. Was Arumon indeed tied in with this shooter? If so, was it vaguely or was the shooter somehow responsible for the Arumon program? As several more thoughts came into John's head, all were silenced by the soft vibration coming from his jacket pocket. The hi-end phone was out and slid open immediately. Text from Gahm... Unfortunately for him, it was Japanese, Gahm must have been in a hurry. With a few well placed thumb strokes, the message was quickly forwarded to his wife, the woman who happened to be what the Cortana program was based off of.
Looking up from his phone while the message transferred and was to be decoded, he said in a solemn voice to answer any quizzical looks he might be getting, "It's from Gahm. I think he's in a hurry because the entire message he just sent me is in Japanese. It'll be decoded shor--" The phone vibrated once more. "Brilliant woman," he muttered hardly audible.
He skimmed it very briefly, just enough to pick up its importance, paused, then read it aloud, " The man who shot Ven was a man by the name of Terry Skye. He was the head programmer in the Arumon project. He went into an outrage after the staff ordered for Arumon and the other knights to be locked within the desert, and was soon fired.
Since then, he's worked as Arumon's eyes and ears in the real world, as they share the same goal of destroying Ymaggion. Ven's shooting was a "hit" ordered by Arumon."

Sarah was stunned. The program ordered a hit on Ven? On a person who was just a kid? This was insane.
"God," she whispered, lowering her head into her hand. "Just what we need. How many others have we pissed off? First Giles, now Skye. What are we going to do? Its bad enough the Dark Balances are still unchecked, we don't need to add their base program to their numbers. Unlike the Sons, we don't have a balancing character to use against him."
