They continued on in silence. A great many buildings had fallen, blocking off many of the easiet routes to the old skyscraper that the distress signal had come from. Hopefully, they'd find a way around it... Rua remembered that there was an old subway nearby that they could probably use.
===At the Government Building===
Alasea was using one of the computers in the building while the defense force protected the survivors outside. It was then that she saw what was on the large radar screen.
"What the?" she said, "Four very strong, strange power readings around the tower... what on Earth...? I have to tell R.D.!"
And with that, she made her way outside to chase them down, grabbing an old motorcycle.

As the group made their way through the city, a few loose groups of Zed soldiers ambled out to greet them, but they were quickly dispatched by the two warriors.
Eventually, after backtracking through streets where rubble had not blocked it off completely, when Kalmar stopped and looked around thoughtfully.
"We should be almost there," Kalmar said, anticipation almost overwhelming his calm facade.
A thought came to him and his deep chuckle echoed down the empty city street, "Hey, Rising. I bet you.. 500 gold that I can get to the distress call before you." With that being said, he flew off down the street, dust flying up behind him.

"You're on!" Rua shouted back, summoning the Dragon King armor boots and igniting the thrusters on them, skating down the street. He wound through the streets for several minutes before coming upon a subway.
"Huh," he said, making to enter it. However...
"R.D., wait up!" he heard a voice cry.
"Huh?" he murmured, looking back. There was Alasea, shooting down the road on a motorcycle.
A few moments later, they were talking.
"I've detected four strange power levels going off the scales around the tower! Four, R.D.! It's too dangerous to proceed on ahead on your own!" Alasea exclaimed. "Wait, where's Kalmar?"
"Can there really be four super-monsters with such great power?" Rua mused, "It's impossible."
Alasea regained his attention. "R.D., I'm going too! Take me with you!"
Instead of agreeing, Rua looked into the subway entrance. "Alli, does this subway lead straight to the tower?"
"The subway? Hang on a sec," she said, distracted. She pulled out a specialized digital map of the area and examined it. "Yes, it does. It leads directly to the building, but there doesn't seem to be any subways running."
"Alright, I'm gonna go ahead from here," Rua said, determined.
"What! From this place!? Are you crazy!?" she shouted, but he already took off running.
"Just wait there and stay out of trouble!" he shouted back.
Alasea fumed. "Fine then!" she shouted back, walking back to her cycle.
===In the Subway===
"I see, no wonder the trains aren't operating," Rua mused, looking about the dilapidated structure, "This condition is awful. Well, looks like Kalmar used this route. Me too then."
A noise caught his attention, and it was growing steadily louder. Light filled the back of a tunnel, and he looked over at it. A subway train pulled up, and stopped near him, opening its doors.
"Okay, that's strange," Rua muttered. It's as if the train came just for me...
"Oh well," he said, stepping on and standing near the back. He stared out the back door window as the vehicle started up down the subway. The hairs suddenly stood up on the back of his neck. He wasn't alone.

A dark figure peered through the rubble of the ruined city at Alasea, her bike idling beneath her. The armor it wore was black, yet sleek and reflective, curving to cover his whole body with a black cloak. A full helm sat atop his head with a red V adorning it, much like a visor.
An ornate black and red sword hilt hung from his waist, a red oval-shaped crystal floating over the hilt where the blade should be.

"Ah, so you found walking too inconvenient, aye?" a familiar voice said from behind Rua. "Guess cockyness doesn't cover up the fact that your a big wussy, not being able to walk for a long period of time." Behind Rua stood Fitz, now fully equipped in his new clothing, which included his sleeves held up by a small belt so they wouldn't intrerfere with his swordplay, a large piece of cloth holding his blue trenchocat together, and his boots were now plated in steel. Other than that, his clothing had appeared pretty much the same. For some reason, he also appeared quite taller.
A very striking surprise, hwoever, was the somewhat bulky sword being carried on his back, an odd purple blade, cut in half in a zig-zag pattern down the middle, red markings, and an odd blue aura.
"Suppose I'm not to late to be in this little battle, aye?"

"What? Fitz!?" Rua exclaimed, spinning around and staring at the new appearance of the pirate. "What are you doing here? And what hell do you mean by battle?"

"You should know, Rua." Fitz said, smiling sheepishly. "But, I have to say, I'm proud of you, already taking your hand in piracy...that sure is a nice sword you have, aye?" Fitz said, pointing at the blade Rua had found at an earlier time.

Rua frowned, getting annoyed. "Someone like you'd see piracy in everyone. Why the hell are you harassing me down here? I have work to do!

"As do I, Rua. Which is exactly why I'm harassing you down here." Fitz said, finally taking the large sword off his back, and shifting his body into a battle position.

"God dammit," Rua swore, drawing his Phase Blades. He was going to end this quickly, he had had enough of the pirate. He shot forward, his blades flashing at the head and legs of his pirate foe.

Fitz merely smirked, and used a combination of his blade and his speed to launch himself over Rua. When he was exactly above his rival, he pulled out the older of his two current swords, and swiped at Rua's back.

Rua cried out and stumbled forward as the blade laid open his back. Despite that, he spun around and slashed upward with one Phase Blade, its blade glowing red and fire erupting along the slash. His Shoenzan attack was quickly followed by a Youdantotsu, as he thrust his other sword forward, its blade exploding with green energy.

"HMPH!" Fitz grunted, rather loudly, as one of the attacks skimmed his arm as he was trying to dodge. Nevertheless, he was stil able tog et around Rua once again, grabbing his dark sword.
"My turn?" Fitz asked in a politely snobbish manner, before running at Rua once again. Thiss was gonna do it...

"What!?" Rua said as Fitz managed to get behind him again. How in the hell could he maneuver so well in this cramped traincar?
Rua spun his weapons in his hands, crossing them together in front of him as Fitz charged.

Fitz eyed Rua in the brief second that he could, looking for an opening. At that point he smiled, noticing an unguarded point that would throw him off guard.
A split second later, Fitz lowered his sword, swiping at Rua in an attempt to trip him, so that Fitz ould then deal his last blow.
