I failed my graphic design class for various reasons, and I never got a chance to learn all of this. How would I use different sprite parts together?
Maybe you should have a help topic for beginning spriters...

1st sprite sheet: Meh, can't really comment.
2nd sprite sheet: I don't think he looks like Speed X at all. Nice job

Just like Speed X? Speed X is a normal 32-bit Mega Man with only Sonic's hair, not the whole head. -.- Anyways, I shall grant you a little updatey goodness. This one shows how I actually did it. Makes it easier to see where something went wrong or right. Like the idea. But.. try harder.
