Artifact/Weapon Name: Amoracchius
Wielder: Michael Saint
Type of Artifact/Weapon: Medieval Broadsword.
Appearance of Artifact/Weapon: Amoracchius is actually classified as a XIIIa type broadsword, and as such is slightly longer than normal broadswords. The blade is made of Heaven-forged steel and has a length of 48 inches, the width of the blade at it’s widest point is 2 ½ inches, this width gradually shrinks until the tip of the blade. The hilt is 14 inches long, it is made of hardened oak and is unadorned. The pommel is a simple silver colored ball of metal. The cross guard is made of simple steel and shaped like a Christian Cross. The name of the blade is inscribed onto the metal just above the cross guard, directly under the name is the inscription “Evil’s bane”.
Origin of Artifact/Weapon: Though it is heaven-forged, there is no indication as to who actually forged Amoracchius. It was found by Michael Saint when he discovered Heaven’s Forge in the scrapyard where it had been abandoned. The blade itself he found lying on the floor next to the forge, covered by years worth of dust, though it was still sharp to the touch.
Special Abilities of the Artifact/Weapon: Like all Heaven-Forged weapons, Amoracchius is of the highest quality. Like all weapons of it’s type, it easily cleaves through demonic armor and flesh, and is equally a match for all other arms and armor it may come across. And, like other Heaven-forged weapons it literally bursts into flames when near demons and demon-like creatures. But here is where it differs, with the mutter of a small prayer the flame can be called forth even when not in the presence of evil creatures. Also, for a radius of twenty feet around the wielder, the light will burn all evil creatures, while it will only be fatal if they stay near the light, it is extremely painful, within five minutes the skin will become blackened and severely damaged, armor will be hot to the touch. To others, the flame acts like simple flame, burning anything flammable. The light is blinding, like that of a sun, and all but the strongest of opponents must glance away.
The wielder himself is protected from the flame and light, and can function normally even in it’s presence. The holy flame and light will stay as long as the wielder is in battle, to a maximum of 1 standard hour.
